I'm a prolific facebooker... I tend to 'like' a lot of stuff if I agree with what a person's said, but can't necessarily contribute an answer
Thanks, bro
I'd suggest an Oyster bracelet, smooth bezel DateJust with either black or silver-sunburst dial. Not too big, not too small, elegant and simple. Ideal for men and women
Likewise, I don't mind answering questions or helping others where I can, but when someone sends a message asking something, and hasn't even got the common courtesy to follow up a reply with a quick "thanks", yeah, it's pretty weak...
Sorry, but Asian movements are not unreliable at all. Even if I could afford to buy the Swiss movements, I wouldn't bother, as quite frankly, they are a waste of money. An Asian movement will tell the time just as well as a Swiss movement, and should it eventually go wrong, it is cheaper to replace the entire movement than repair... They're pretty much disposable, but still a reliable product
I haven't been weighed or measured in a while... I'm about six foot something, and a few pounds heavier than I should be, but not obese...
Wifey took this one about a year ago while we were out, it wasn't a posed shot (although it would make an awesome author shot for a dust jacket )
Tudor Heritage Chrono:
I took this one a few months ago while getting tatted up...
Modified GMT II:
Congratulations, my friend, I hope you'll have every success... Time for you to show those other web-assholes how a First Class business really operates
Just a quick bump to let folks know that the deconstructions of the boots has begun, and it looks, like I might be able to salvage three straps from the material Watch this space
What do you think?
I won't be cutting anything for myself, as I don't really wear straps anymore, so wondered what size would be best for selling... I think you're right about 24mm rather than 20mm
That's true about the insert color taking it a little further from Sub spec as a distinction I saw a nice aftermarket insert a year or so ago, which was black and silver... I guess that's the DietCoke version That's a fine piece, I definitely prefer that style of bracelet, compared to the style on the other GMT you're wearing The one on my watch was cobbled together from assorted budget bracelets: Hollow endlinks, 'push circle' divers release, and Registered Steelinox-stamped leaves... It doesn't matter if it's my Tudor Sub, a 16610 or the current GMT, they all wear the same shoes
My wife's donating a pair of boots for me to upcycle into straps to sell. What size(s) do folks think I should go for? ie 20mm or 24mm I'm definitely going to get one strap out of them, maybe two... Any suggestions?
I debated long and hard about installing the coke insert on mine, but eventually settled on sticking with the all black GMTs do make a fine substitute for Submariners :drink:
I've lost the link, but there is an aftermarket NATO available which perfectly matches the Tudor-issued strap, and that combo really looks the business
It's a nice piece, I don't know why I don't wear mine more than I do Perhaps that should be my new year's resolution
The Tudors are (or at least, last time I looked at the site a few weeks back ) in their own listing in the alphabetical list. They're treated as their own brand, rather than just Rollie cast-offs
My laptop was playing up, so took me a while to get the pics, but here they are
On bracelet:
On NATO:
Custom strap:
How about a Tudor Heritage Chrono? 40ishmm case, nicely balanced bracelet, looks good on other straps as well as the recommended NATO option. Nice reliable quartz movement, I give it a big thumbs up
