  1. This is very common, could just be as simple as dirt it the crown jamming the ratchet type mechanism. Try winding backwards to dislodge.
  2. I expect there'll be issues with the tube and case shape when you do this. Things have a habit of not quite matching up when you put rep and gen together.
  3. The 177 has always been a well repped model, the latest noob version is pretty good so I'm told. The titanium case sets it apart from the rest.
  4. Ah yes, the last time.... which resulted in what exactly?? Let me think now......... Well members, it's your money...........
  5. 253 on bracelet?? Interesting look, I like it a lot Thanks for sharing
  6. Thanks man! I totally understand where you're coming from, if that's your thing then that's cool. It's just not for me, maybe it's a progression thing and I'll get to the same point as you. For now those pam homage are a good adventure for me. I Appreciate it cc33
  7. Without hijacking this thread.... The franken thing..... I just don't get it, I understand creating a near perfect build, using rep or aftermarket parts and re-shaping etc... into something that really does replicate the gen.. but I'm not sold on the idea of mixing rep and gen parts. Maybe someone could enlighten me please.
  8. Hi GenTle, yes I get here on occasion, I'm with you totally on the whole gen-Vs-rep thing, I enjoy the variety of owning many watches whilst the cost of a gen would restrict me, and I'm a big lover of the "cheapies" but I like unusual too. M2M purchases on the forums are where I like to go, especially when something a little different pops up, I'm not a fixer-upper either, I can cobble together a 6497 or a molly 3602 build but that's where I stop really, so I don't snap up those broken watches either. I guess it's my age
  9. Quick pic before we go out for a family lunch on this UK bank holiday, spring is definitely in the air and my daffodils are starting to bloom. A little late this year due to the late frost,
  10. seem to hit a brick wall with reps right now, I've scaled down the collection to about 12, and even scouring the dealer sites there's nothing "doing it" for me right now. Dipping my toe in the homage builds to see if it can satisfy the craving... Who knows??? I suppose it's just a little itch that needs a good scratch
  11. Happy Easter Mike, looks like it's going to be a real feast
  12. He is, and thank very kind of him. Nice to see a local guy here and making me feel very welcome

Wow, 3 posts from 1 member, thanks for the warm welcome guys, but no need to advertise my work , thanks all the same but I come here to relax and get away from the pressures of my daily hectic working life. , I feel quite at home here...... Just off to read the newbies section, I'll post pics of my collection soon, I know that's why we're all here.
  14. Hello everyone, I've been a member here for a little while but not posted much, just thought I'd say hi and see what's happening here. I've been into reps for a few years now, bought and sold a few along the way, and just beginning to dip my toe into the homage builds. Thanks for having me here chaps
  15. Just thought you guys may want to read. I post this without animosity Mike (on a bike) just for reference. [url removed. -admin] Cheers, Pickledbeetroot.
