I have an LV and YM and they are lovely. Feel very gen like indeed. I may sell the LV soon simply because I also have a gen but am conscious it is irreplaceable.

Thanks for the reply, it has a transplanted Tissot 2824. It's definitely the same winding issue as the TC Sub. Works fine, just annoys me.

Hi guys, can anyone advise which crown/tube I should look for to fit to the above watch? Same as the TC Sub's, the watch does not have a smooth movement when winding, feeling like it slides off the thread. This has been a characteristic of every TC I have had and really annoys me. So to eliminate it I'd like to upgrade. Could I get away with just a tube upgrade or is it advisable to do both? Many thanks.

I'm going to try the spring bar alternative too until the parts arrive. Thanks again to Toro, couldn't be a bigger difference to the other 'big name' who really annoyed me with his money grabbing attitude!

Anybody have one of these tiny torx screws sitting around? Have to say not very helpful response from TD's, very friendly when you are buying from them but not very helpful otherwise, I was told I should buy another watch and then I could get the part...

Sorry if this is a total newbie question. I went to put on my Fifty Fathoms and noticed the strap is loose on one corner, what do I need to order please, spring bars and what size? I have never changed the strap on a watch so sorry if this sounds like a really basic question. On the other three corners there is no hole, so not sure if this is a two piece spring bar on this watch? Photos attached for illustration, you can see the hole on one corner in the first, the other three are fine. Thanks for any advice given!

Oh and the moral of the story for me is in future do not deal with new members as this whole episode has left a very nasty taste in the mouth and undermined two years of good feedback on this site...

Thanks Mike, as I have REPEATEDLY said to the buyer I wore the watch for a month with no issues and bought it from a trusted member here. When I sent the watch it worked fine. Words like scammer are very unreasonable and confrontational indeed. I have concluded many high value transactions on this site with no issues, feedback shows this. If the buyer has damaged the watch I really cannot be blamed for that.

My 5002 bought from Astonjenks is for sale in watches for sale forum. It needs a crown repair but is excellent with a full service, gen dial and Peter Alligator strap. Once repaired it is probably the closest thing to gen possible Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
