Hi Mecko! It looks like a reflection from the camera. Other than that the dial seems to have the expected sparkly shimmer. I can't see any issues with the pic, but I'm no YM-expert...

Hi guys! Thanks for all the input and ideas. I'm glad to hear that similar projects have been started. Also yeah... The biggest problem will be the dial and bezel assembly. I'm actually considering using the bezel assembly with insert and hands + dial from a 116613LN. I've tried to modify the stock bezel assembly to a coin edge, but failed miserably. Trying to do it by hand with a dremel was a bad idea. This might be a "cheap"/"simple" alternative: 116113LN BP or Noob whichever has the best bezel + dial with TC DWO (inverse) + TC sapphire + Yuki or Athaya crown + modded midcase. However... isn't it too much brass/gold-ish? Or?Does athaya still sell the 8mm big crown? Or why do several builds (e.g. PBDAD) use the much much more expensive Yuki? But looking at it I realize how important the colored dial is... Helenarou's dials are great, but quite pricey and still not "true" gilt. I might be able to live without the coin edge bezel, but the dial... Anyone knows how to get in contact with cc33?This is my current progress ( the lighting was very bad, so the chamfered edges look beveled instead) Any thoughts? Suggestions?

I want to chime in here too. There are a lot of keyboard talibans, just wrecking havok and trying to compensate for their crappy self-esteem on so called "fellow" board members. It's sad. I'm not foreign to the gym either, but in real life I think most people would find me very humble. Which might seem contradictory. 190 cms, 110 kgs, and a whole lot of facial hair. But maybe that's back to the key element. It's easy to be a jerk, especially if writing from their parents basement. It's much harder to have tolerance, understanding and try to help those around. The funny thing, if someone would even dare talk to me in the tone that I several times have stumbled upon. I would just laugh. If that person would continue it could turn ugly. That has happened once in my life. Once. But he was pretty coked up. Returning to the subject, very few people would treat another person like that in real life. Hiding behind a keyboard. A whole different story. It's laughable, tragic, sad, whatever. The smallest dogs bark the most. However, when they don't stop or the "owner" allows it, it's best just to walk away. A ceramic Hulk with some modifications by me... I'm working towards a HS01/Tempus Machina type of modern 6538 hopefully. Lugs beveled and CG thinned. It would be more suited to see it as a 16610-adaptation so far. Happy b-day!!

It's seems to be Big Crown-Friday almost...

Since it seems to be the recurring "flaw" with it, I was wondering if anyone has tried reluming it and who carried out the work. I'm quite interested in getting one, but it would be nice knowing that the lume can be fixed if it would turn out to be a big OCD-problem. Thanks, Valentin

I was informed that I has misinterpreted the price, I misread the deposit and thought that it was the final price. It seemed a bit odd that he would do all that work for just 100 USD, but well.. Exactly what I (didn't know I) was searching for (since I was obsessing about which Big Crown-homage to choose, not being able to finalize my choice due to them all being flawed someway or another)...
