  1. Just wanted to inform that I have 2 brand new modded ones (beatifuly brushed) FS in the "parts" subforum. I can even mount them on some vintage leather NATO's if there is any interest.
  2. You don't mind asking PBdad which crystal and gasket he ended up using?
  3. Which would be best for a PCG gilt chapter ring 5512/5513? Also, what movements do these normally contain? Low-beat ETA's?
  4. A tip... Give the buckle a rub with a nailbuffer on "fine" then "smooth" for a beautiful satin look. The "stock" overpolished buckle feels a bit cheapish otherwise (same for the Rolex one they have).
  5. http://www.urdelar.se/Rolex 4130 Daytona, Complete movement?keyword=daytona Brand new! Thank me later!
  6. Here's a little mid-case update. I've accepted the fact that however I try, it wont be a replica, so i might as well do my own take on it. I present to you thiiiiiiiiiin lugs and an updated bezel (that I'm getting quite satisfied with). Is there ANYONE that can guide me toward a crystal gasket and double domed sapphire that fits a gen-spec midcase?
  7. ant1: I'm liking what I'm seeing but 'll let the experts judge, I'm just a noob
  8. Make sure that you're checking his items from ebay.com and not eBay.co.uk... That usually works for a lot of stores.
  9. Considering the new "ingod" recently found I want to build a gilt chapter ring sub. Are there any good cases sub (no pun intended) 300 USD or is the general consensus to go for a HR 5513 or cartel equivalent and forget about the crown guard fetish described above?
  10. I'm unused to the lost in translation. In my line of work, everyone speaks English... Well.. I'll ask BigDaz to fluff up the lume and hopefully draw away from the vanished gilt surrounds... there's one extra dial with correct 116113-hands going to him for reluming / texture-magic. Anyone interested?
  11. See attached files for some 5512-pictures (+ other stuff) ready for Printing (or Reading) 5512 7928 Newman
  12. 2 steps closer 1 step back... I asked HR to make the indices 10% bigger... so he made the lume 10% bigger without enhancing the rings around. So now... no "gilt" around the lume plots. Wooptidoo..
  13. Look what the cat just dragged in. A HR 6538 with the new dial. Great quality. Nice gloss. Very good raised printing, crispy. (However the 8mm Brevet from HR was a big mistake. It's gigantic, and it protrudes about 3 mm too much from the case.)

  15. Hmm.. http://www.puretime.watch/product/vintage-tudor-submariner-7928-yellow-lume-dial-a21j/ And a 26-27 mm 5513 gilt dial, and a ETA-adaptor ring + a slow-beat ETA and a lot of work could be a budget goodie. --- Just got a response from Tonny, they wont do custom (irregular) designs if only 1 piece. His watchmaker doesn't think it adds up, and I can understand him.
  16. BK sells Noob Subs that are supplied with Swiss ETA (often used) from the maker, and also he has a very strict quality control, which means that you won't get crooked indices, misaligned dials etc. That's what you pay the "extra" for..
  17. So if it's not printed "digitally" and not "true gilt" what is it? This is pretty interesting:
  18. Interesting... I asked him earlier if he could do custom prints, e.g. on 29 mm ETA-dials, haven't received any response. If so... I might be redoing my Tempus Machina-dial and also a 6538 2-liner for a HR6538. Looks nice, thanks for the update! Is there any juice in that lume or is it just for appearances?
  19. Hahaha.. yeah the swiss ink.. Most of the gilt dials seem to be in negative relief, however I have e-mailed and asked wether these are made by him or by another maker, and asked to see productions shots. We will see...
  20. I have no connections, just thought that 250 USD for a regular gilt dial seemed pretty good, and 350 for a Daytona dial. Case set incl. hands for 600 USD... I've requested more pictures and high-res, "tonnywatches" on instagram.
  21. Awesome! AI is better than vectorized PSD. Im going for walkover. You know what, you're actually correct. His two blogs arent correct, I always use the eBay-site: http://stores.ebay.com/The-Raffles-Shop And currently the Tudor caseback is out of stock. /V
