  1. If it's a modern Sub, I think that you should have a chat with Dirk, Zocker..... He has his own section at RWI.
  2. Helenarou 6538, Athaya pearl, custom 1-liner "gilt" dial. Brassed bezel. Custom lug chamfers. Lume by BigDaz.
  3. 1 horsepower/kg roughly, driver included. That seems like a recipe for disaster. At least it's supercharged and not turbocharged, so you have linearity. Godspeed! /the guy that understood that it was 4 wheels or none, after biting the dust (at the ravaging speed of at leeeeeast 15 km/h) with a Yamaha DT 50cc, age 15
  4. You are a master of lugs and bevels. Truly awesome... Care to share how the magic is done? What tools?
  5. The dealers... Because they all get them from the same source.
  6. That dial though... Such a perfect gem really needs an upgrade in the future. With gilt and puffy cream lume..
  7. Well done! @Bart Cordell I got some more gifts coming by mail... Hopefully you find use for them!
  8. Beautiful build!! Truly awesome.. Who was the modder? He did an excellent job, especially the case/bezel assembly/domed crystal. Be proud!
  9. @trustywatchguy What do you mean NOT to make comments based on QC pics? If Noob factory is using V5 parts and you paid for a V6 a "noob" buyer should not be tricked... This isn't a trinket market in Bombay. I understand that you dealers order a V6,and maybe dont always notice the small details. But some of us do. Thats the whole point of v(n + 1). IF they cant deliver and are backordered, either they 1) inform that they use V5 parts and offer a discount 2) stay quiet and ride the hype train they have created and trick the dealers and customs 3) wait until the correct parts are available and lose the hype but gain honesty.
  10. V5 pearl V5 bracelet Compare to this: http://s1214.photobucket.com/user/sead1999rg/media/mix%2014/IMG_1550_zpso8wh2klq.jpg.html
  11. Theres a thread about this on RWI. They use V6s midcases and V5 bracelets and bezel inserts. CAVE¡
  12. I Think it depends fully on which dial we're talking about. Somewhere between 200 USD too 400 USD. The upper limit is tropical gilt dials etc. The lower limit is "simpler" printed matt dials.
  13. These are as rep as they get, however gen sized dial. So a 1680/1665 wont fit Cartel or MBW cases. 6538 wont fit... most cases. 7928... etc. Check the original sizes before ordering. And also, feet must be clip'd, unless you're planning on putting a gen movement, then you're... well... overdoing it?
  14. There are several suppliers that provide the same dials. I would recommend tonnywatches on instagram.
  15. It seems that you have a Cartel 6538 base? Don't know if you will find a direct replacement regarding the insert, as were talking about completely different watches. You have a non-genuine-sized 6538-case with a propritetary bezel insert size, and this build is using a genuine-sized ceramic submariner-case.
  16. @JoeyB Your bezels? This sounds interesting, care to share more?
  17. I don't get it... 25-30 microns is 0,025 mm how that can equate to 78% of the case. Is it just me that learned the ancient, complicated and esoteric art of basic algebra?
  18. Okay... Just saw this wonderful watch on puretime and the price 868 USD. Have I understood it correct that they claim 100% RG in the Watch head? Seems a bit cheap, no? I mean... at least 15-20 grams worth of 18K gold should be in there? That's almost the whole value of the asked price. Am I missing something? http://puretime01.com/calatrava-5227-18k-rose-gold-white-dial-on-black-leather-strap-miyota-9015.html#
  19. I ain't giving up that easily... A fat ceramic GMT is now transformed to a thin-lugged and soon to be perfect chamfered case... And yeah, this one fits 29mm-dials.
  20. Awesome! Although I'm fresh, these are names that continously come up when I Think of well-valued members that not only add alot to the forum, but always have a sound attitude and helpfullness, which to me are the core values of this forum. (that was a loooong sentance) Congratulations!
  21. E.g. one of these: I have one for sale in case someones interested, drop me a PM
  22. @denimhead@cousin_hub I would change a lot on all of them... But I guess the 5512/5513 is best since you can put a Vietnam-dial straight in (correct size 26mm). If I've understood it correctly the 1680 and 1665-cases take 26 mm dials which is wrong, as correct is 26,5mm. So a 5512/5513: - Add a Vietnam-dial - Add TC-hands - Add a good Pearl and Yuki-insert - Add an Athaya Crown+tube 700/702 - Some modding of the Crown guards - Change to a Clarks/Sternkreutz or best ClassicWatchParts crystal ... Nice!
