  1. Ah but the white stuff we walk on Nanuq is sand. Sand is better than snow because this is where you find women in their most advanced stage of undress. Ken
  2. I hear there's more than a few white pointers too Ken
  3. Indeed long time Bill, good to see you around again. Ken
  4. Yesterday now seems to be a day of firsts for us, not only has RWG undergone a complete refit but we set a whole lot of new records too. First up we set the 'Most online at one time' record of 422 users. Then came the 'Most logged on in the course of a day' a record of 1858 users And finally we also hit the 21K membership number, this last figure is even more impressive when you considered that for a long time now we have systematically removed inactive members from our lists. Rock on RWG Ken
  5. Dunno Doc does Berg sound like the kind of name that was exported from England But then the Aussie twist on this fashion look is tank top (singlet), footy shorts, sweat stained akubra and thongs (flip flops) accessorised with the ever present esky. Ken
  6. Maybe but the English don't like change, how they dressed then would still be considered correct. Ken
  7. Well seeing as this was posted on page 6 does this mean Delta can't read his post? How about someone PM him and ask why he posted his full name and address here? Ken
  8. Well to be more correct you should wear walker socks and a nice pair of dress shoes, thats how the English would do it....not that I would mind you. Ken
  9. I have a number of watches with A7750 movements all are at least 1 year old (some 3 to 4yo), all work as good as the day they were purchased...and a dirty little secret....only two have been serviced. You need to remember that the issues posted on this forum reflect a very small portion of the rep buyers from our member base, the vast majority never posts, unless they have issues. That said yes you should get your watches serviced if you want them to last and if you ask around town you will always find a watchsmith that will do the work. Ken
  10. Well Homer has given the best answer, however you didn't say where in China and a lot of mail does actually go in through HK. Ken
  11. Another plus for running on Chrome. Ken
  12. Wow thats a heck of a long post (I must admit I didn't get all the way through), however if the question is why did iPod steal Sony's thunder I believe there's probably 3 main reasons... (1)iPod was the first that let you store your own selections (2)People still think of walkman as a portable radio or cassette player (3)Advertising Ken

    Hmmm...

She's the bicycle girl yes? Ken
  14. G'day Dan and welcome to RWG You will find a lot of us Aussies here including one of our moderators right next door to you at the Gold Coast. I am in Melbourne myself and we have another mod based in Sydney. That Camel watch looks interesting for another point too, it seems to have been put together using a few different watches as parts. You have certainly done the right thing by reading through our forum as we have a wealth of knowledge here that will answer all your questions before making a purchase. If you put up a pic of your Swiss army watch I am sure there will be someone here that can shine a bit of light about it for you. Ken
  15. I have been gone from CC for about 4 years now and have never heard of Monster energy drink before, I was making a general comment on all energy drinks. It's much the same as mineral waters or indeed just plain water, there's nothing to justify the price other than they are popular. Ken
  16. I don't drink them myself but as an ex contractor for Coca Cola I know that yes they are expensive and no there is no good reason for this. Ken
  17. And now RWG can collectively sit back and let out a sigh of relief....our Lani's gunna be ok Great to have you back R Ken
  18. Try here...... http://app3.hongkongpost.com/CGI/mt/enquiry.jsp Ken
  19. He said after he finishes breakfast, thats a good 10 to 15 minutes wasted right there. Kidding It's a bloody lot of work and we should all be very thankful we have an Admin that continues to look after us like this. Ken
  20. Hate to say this Dan but when you pay $29 for a watch you get a 29 buck knock off. Ken
  21. Oh c'mon By-Tor admit you were drooling over those Ebels. Ken
  22. And Zigmeister is suppose to pay for this? Ken
  23. Now there's a typical example, all those Hublots are now hundreds of dollars cheaper. Stop buying and down comes the price. Ken
  24. Don't make deals if it aint got wheels Sorry Robbie Ken
