Ok Cathy's husband has told me she will be right to work by as early as tonight (my time), however I have advised her to rest longer and I will start normal trading again at 11am Monday (AEST) Thank you for your patience. Ken
  2. Forgive me for asking but what part of the USA is 2hrs from the nearest post office? I'm sorry but despite the fact the buyer has come on a bit strong, you should not make a promise you wont (or possibly can't) keep. That said I fail to see why this member to member transaction is being posted on the board, from what you say no one has scammed the other and it is more a case of bruised ego's. Ken

Thanks guys, the two main concerns I have is (1) Normally Cathy would a organise someone to take over in her absence, so obviously this has been very sudden (2) Her husband said to me he will tell her I called, as soon as she opens her eyes. Ken

I'm putting this up in GD in the hope that all my customers get to see it. My sales rep went missing last night and after a long search I have tracked her down to a local hospital. I have been in touch with her husband, who has limited English, and it appears to be a minor problem. I am hopeful I will get to talk to Cathy (my sales rep) tomorrow and when I do I will be able to update when Bergies will be back to normal. Until then I ask you all to bear with me and I will work hard to clear the backlog as soon as I am back up and running. Thanks you Ken
  6. Gee I hope this is not a permanent thing, all my pic's are hosted on imageshack. Ken

    Being Aussie

YOU KNOW YOU'RE AUSTRALIAN WHEN: You believe that stubbies can either be drunk or worn. You've made a bong out of your garden hose rather than use it for something illegal such as watering the garden. You understand that the phrase 'a group of women wearing black thongs' refers to footwear and may be less alluring than... it sounds. You pronounce Melbourne as 'Mel-bin'. You believe the 'l' in the word 'Australia' is optional. You can translate: 'Dazza and Shazza played Acca Dacca on the way to Maccas'. You call your best friend 'a total bastard' but someone you really, truly despise is just 'a bit of a bastard'. You think 'Woolloomooloo' is a perfectly reasonable name for a place. You're secretly proud of our killer wildlife. You believe it makes sense for a country to have a $1 coin that's twice as big as its $2 coin. You understand that 'Wagga Wagga' can be abbreviated to 'Wagga' but 'Woy Woy' can't be called 'Woy'. You believe that cooked down axle grease makes a good breakfast spread - you've squeezed it through Vita Wheats to make little Vegemite worms. You believe all famous Kiwis are actually Australian, until they stuff up,at which point they again become Kiwis. Beetroot with your Hamburger... of course! You know that certain words must, by law, be shouted out during any rendition of the Angels' song 'Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again' And 'Living next door to Alice'. You wear ugg boots outside the house. You believe that every important discovery in the world was made by an Australian but then sold off for a pittance. You believe that the more you shorten someone's name the more you like them. Whatever your linguistic skills, you find yourself able to order takeaway fluently in every Asian language. You understand that 'excuse me' can sound rude, While 'scuse me' is always polite. You know what it's like to swallow a fly, on occasion via your nose. You know it's not summer until the steering wheel is too hot to handle and a seat belt buckle becomes a pretty good branding iron. Your biggest family argument over the summer concerned the rules for beach cricket. You shake your head in horror when companies try to market what they call 'Anzac Cookies'. You still think of Kylie as 'that girl off Neighbours'. When working in a bar, you understand male customers will feel the need to offer an excuse whenever they order low-alcohol beer. You know how to abbreviate every word, all of which usually end in "o": arvo, combo, garbo, kero, lezzo, metho, milko, muso, rego, servo, smoko, speedo, righto, goodo etc... You know that there is a universal place called 'woop woop' located in the middle of nowhere, no matter where you actually are! You know that none of us actually drink Fosters beer, because it tastes like piss. You sleep with Aeroguard on in the summer and don't mind it as a perfume. You've only ever used the words - tops, ripper, sick, mad, sweet, to mean "good" and when you place 'bloody' in front of it then you really mean it. You know that the barbecue is a political arena. You say 'no worries' quite often, whether you realise it or not. You understand what no wucking furries means. You've drank your tea/coffee/milo through a Tim Tam. You own a Bond's chesty - in several different colors. You know that some people pronounce Australia like "Straya" and that's ok. And you will immediately forward this list to other Australians, here and overseas, realising that only they will understand! Aussie Aussie Aussie.!! Ken
  11. I think everyone needs to take a step back and calm down here. The OP stated in his first post that when buying you should.... So right there he has done his service to the community. The fact is that his country is very harsh on replica goods so whereas it is true this can happen elsewhere in most countries it is unlikely. If buyers follow the outlines he has given then there is no need for him to disclose the dealer anyway. Instead of lining up to stick the boot in it would be nice for someone to say "Hey thanks for the warning" Ken
  12. The place would not have been the same without you. Yes it has been a wonderful ride but it's the input from members like you that have made it so. Ken
  13. Thanks guys but I have been contacted by another helpful member who is doing the translation for me Thanks anyway Ken
  14. Now before people start Googling these I should point out that I have found many translators that will translate English to Sanskrit or vice versa and I have even found a Hindi dictionary site that will translate single English words to Hindi-English words (hope that makes sense) but what I need is a translator that will take full texts and translate them to Hindi-English so that all phrasings and nuances are correct. Anyone know of such a site? Thanks in advance Ken

    The Mod Team

@Val the teams creditability was called into question by at least one member during the SQL thread, all-be-it on other boards. Ken

@ Carl are you sure you are not confusing me for someone else? Drop me a PM and tell me what this is about because I can assure you that I have never, nor would ever use mod powers for financial gain. Ken

    The Mod Team

I'm passing that one onto my wife Nanuq I hope you have your runners on. Ken
  18. Your team here at RWG has always worked to keep the board running as smooth as possible with the least amount of intervention, when this board was created we actually had a catch cry 'Less is more' and that remains how we go about moderating today. To me a Mod is like a policeman, as long as you obey the laws of the land he will leave you alone. Yet because of this softly softly mantra we often come under fire from people claiming inaction, as you have just seen in the current SQL thread. The funny thing is that the RWG Team area is one of the busiest sections of the board, there is a myriad of issues we need to deal with all the time just so you the member continues to see none that upsets his/her viewing pleasure. When people attack the team they do so by attacking a faceless entity call RWG, it's easy...and it's cheap. Below is listed your team here at RWG... Admin Co Admins Nanuq TwoTone Moderators By-Tor dluddy freddy333 Watchmeister Stephane FxrAndy redwatch KB Look carefully at those names, most have been the pillars of our hobby for the past 10 years with a sprinkling of a few of the newer bright lights. What I ask is the next time a member, or dealer, wants to deride our team is that they come back and look at this list and ask themselves exactly which of us do they believe to be incompetent fools! Rant over. This thread has not been approved by the team, if you have an issue about it address it to me. Ken
  19. Yes but no. I think all dealers can get them but shipping agents are now refusing to ship them due to airlines banned substances regulations. Ken
  20. Star amongst other things we discussed the fact that he had never broken any rules here, however we do have a responsibility to our members when it comes to scamming. As another team member stated within the Admin area in regards to his clean record here... Pretty much sums up why he had to go. Ken

I can just see how this ends. The lead dog sees a rabbit and they all chase him into the bush Ken
  22. What makes a good Admin team is guys that have the ability to see the big picture, I am proud of the team I'm in because they have shown time and again that they are willing to weigh up all the facts and come to an unbiased decision. As a metaphor if a guy follows a pretty girl down a busy street and at the same time checks her out, that's normal. If the same guy follows her home that's stalking, there is a definite line between what is and is not acceptable. I ask two questions (1) Why did Edge not contact Admin teams the moment he had suspicions instead of wasting so much time conducting a private investigation? (2) How many innocent people lost money because of this delay? I'm sorry but the information Edge has might be correct but the fact it was compiled before even raising a concern bothers me. Ken
  23. Andrew I will go on record that I am not happy that the amount of effort Edge put into getting SQL banned justifies any possible grievance he could have had with him. Not only did he put in a heck of a lot of time consuming work (a lot of which is supposition) but he also complains on RG that we didn't move quick enough with the ban, even though our whole process from being made aware to ban was less than 48hrs. You might not have a problem with that but to me it just doesn't sound normal. This is of course my own opinion and not one that is endorsed by the Admin team. Ken
  24. When you ban an IP address it is not a case of just getting a new username. Ken
