Fantastic review, as usual.
You are a ture asset to this forum, please keep a little time for your old rep friends.
Thanks for taking the time to put this together I am sure it is not easy to get those great pictures!
A $100.00 Newbmarina will fool 99% of the folks looking at your watch. (Including quite a few of us)
A $1000.00 modded sub will not fool the remaining 1%!!!!
Invest carefully.
Great review!
I think you have this rep game well thought out.
Tough decision to go much over $300.00 for a rep.
Re-sale value alone. If all the forums were to banned from the web, where would one sell an expensive rep?
Stunning!
Stephane, are you contemplating aquiring any genuine movements. I have read that the movement of the second hand is a dead give away. Is this so?
Does Ro!ex 1570 fit in a MBW?
You are Rep Crazy! (Apologies to McGuier's)
Anyone know if the DW Daytona 116520 7750 sec @9 is any better than any of the others available.
Does it take gen parts or as good as his v72 versions?
Is the dial good? Black or white?
Is it good enough to drop a orig movement in?
Not your froglish maybe mine. I wanted to say I agreed with you that TTK is one cool dude and I would really enjoy a trip to meet him.
BTW love your collection and pictures.
You really love those vintage! Looking forword to some of your great shots of the whole family.
I have a TTK Great White and it is my all time fav Rollie.
OK, got the YM from Bklm and it is a super rep! $110.00 shipped. IMHO this is what the rep buisness should be all about! If it is a fake lets make it a FAKE and as cheap as possible, that is why we are here.
$330.00 + $200.00 = $530.00 + shipping costs $600.00 ridiculous. Sell the watch without movement for $100.00 and we can install our own movement? They maybe could use better screwdowns that work! Buy a donor watch and you have something worth while.
The thing I just can not understand is why can invicta croton ...etc. make a quality watch and sell it for $100.00 with a lifetime warr(croton) and a $700.00 rep is a piece of [censored]?
It could be a DW. It is very hard to tell from the outside if it is the case for the Vj23 or the Vj72. If you remove the movement and look from the inside you can see on the Vj23 case that the winder hole is out of line of the pushers. It is a little bit closer to the crystal. It is difficult to fit the Vj72 into the Vj23 case because of this. Do you know what movement is in your watch now? If it is the mystery movement, I wish you luck.
