  1. Fantastic pictures by all! Man, that is some workshop! Were you ever in the watch business or are all those tools just for your own personal pleasure ?
  2. Another problem, mine does not reset to zero. Goes to the one every time. I just stop it at the twelve.LOL Not going to bother sending it back. But wanted to let you all know it happens.
  3. Great thread! Shows you do not need much to acomplish great things! Pug, Ubi.
  4. Fantastic pictorial! Even I can see differences with this type of review. Thanks for pointing out which is the rep, most people do not and I can' tell. LOL
  5. I do not know if it is because of different years, but it looks to me that every Daytona I have seen the hour markers are super wide. Are there any Daytonas offered by our collectors that have hour markers that match Ubi's beautiful pair?
  6. I agree it is rather small but I find all Rolex to be small. On the other hand I find the Daytona to be one of the most comfortable of all on the wrist. I have a DW v72 case and I am also searching in vain for a reasonably priced v72, however I think it will take quite a bit of luck to find one. I think the best chance is to spread the word around to friends and hope that maybe somebody knows someone with one and is willing to part with it to a friend. Good luck to all those looking, and there are many. Did you know that DW sells them including a v72 movement, I found that amazing.
  7. Great review! Very informative with wonderful pictures. You are doing a buyers guide? So the noobmariner may be the one all Rolex lovers should have ($99.00) ?
  8. I have the Ferarri 008 and it has the weight and feel and quality of a gen. It may be too heavy! The price has come down after "the rush" and it is really quite a bargain. I do not know if the movement will hold up. I do not know who manufactured it but I hope they make some more. It costs as much as an Invicta and so far no one seems to be able to find any difference from the gen. Try it you'll like it. Anyone out there know if this manufacturer is planning anything new?
  9. Will you be offering the name of a good rehab next year?
  10. Movement, would be nice if they kept time!
  11. I have the 008 I can not find any flaws. As TTK stated, must be one of the best reps ever! It is so good it looks like it could have come from the same factory, maybe fell out the back door. I hope we get some more from whoever created this. I would buy anything from these guys. Someone mentioned the lugs, if anyone knows please post. Most pictures do not dwell on the lugs. \ PS. The large second hand on mine does not reset to 12. It will reset to 1 every time. Minor adjustment I am sure, otherwise the pushes are a little stiff buy hopefully they will get better. Thanks Sash. Great watch! Keep it up.
  12. What I have found on other boards is that if you completely ignore the negative threads, (do not acknowledge in any way, shape or form) the thrill of posting them is diminished and they just go away on thier own without any intervention of rules or moderators. Just a thought?
  13. Fantastic outcome for a FANTASTIC member!!!!!! Good things happen to good people.
  14. I agree, the thicker the better.
  15. A few more questions, what model is the two tone? Gen? Rep available?
  16. WOW! That was quite a bit of work. Thank you for sharing. Maybe no need to spend $350 to $400 for a MBW? Get the Josh and add a few gens which you would do with the MBW anyway. This type of post is a great asset because it can save plenty of searching time. Got to get one.
  17. I went back and read every one of his posts(many, many). He is one of the best, convinced me to get my 6263 Daytona!
  18. Add my name to the list. I wonder just how many buyers make the build worthwhile. Looks like the interest is there!
  19. Great review. Great pictures. Agree you can not lose by starting with MBW because it will always hold it's value. Also TTK is is one of the main ingredients of what makes this hobby cook.
