GeeZ armin , you said it was a "Bezel Insert" and not a whole bezel ??? The bezel should have just snapped back on , if not it was defective from the start ... You will need to remove the old bezel and remove all the glue and snap it back on but it does sound like you might ruin the watch trying to get it off .. Any pics ?? Zed

I own many gold plated watches and have had some for years and they still look brand new but you have to treat them right ! The chrome plating on the wheels of my car hasn't fallen off yet either Zed

So like said if it does indeed have split pins you can get a pin pusher on eBay cheap , easy to use too .. You can also hammer them out with a plastic block and jewelers hammer also found on eBay ... It should just have screws ?? I know some Omega reps have split pins but I think the SMP GMT has screws , if so get a small jewelers screw driver set and that's all you need .. Zed

This is how the crown comes out on my SMP , there is a little button located right by the crown tube that you depress and then just simply pull it out (of coarse you would have to remove the crown guard first ) most work this way but I don't own a Pam so sorry if this info is wrong .. Zed

I have 2 of these Burlwood humidors on the go , they hold 100 cigars each plus I have a smaller one that will hold 50 .. I too want to step up to a cabinet type humidor .. Zed

My SMP chrono acts exactly the same way , won't even run in the winder , only on my wrist and then dies a couple hours after the date change .. Normal for this watch I would say !! Zed

2 months , give it a good 6 months to break in , they act quite erratic at first and then settle down after 6 months , at least all mine acted that way .. Zed
