Nice TJ , Your bezel alignment would have been done easier by just using a hair dryer to heat it up and then twisting it in place , that works real well if just a millimeter or two out of alignment .. Don't tell me , your stripped screw / pin was the last one down by the clasp right (??) , out of all the SMP's I have seen that was always the one that would not come out without a little persuasion ?? Wait a minute , I thought you were the "Omega God" ? Enjoy it ! Zed

Out of all the Reps & Gens I own ( 40+ ) only 2 or 3 are non chrono so the reason I got into reps was because of the Rolex Daytona .. Here are my top 3 chronos 1 Daytona 2 SMP Chrono 3 BCE TT Evo If I was going to buy any of these watches as Gen it would be the SMP Chrono Zed

If you can afford Swiss always buy Swiss especially with a chrono watch but not many are available with a Swiss movement .. I too am looking at the BCE ( Chronomat Evo ) TT blue dial / gold sub dials and I will buy this with the Swiss movement .. I also wish there were more Swiss options for other popular chrono watches like a gold Daytona or the SMP chrono but there aren't so you have no choice other than the Asian 7750 ... Zed

I have never been questioned once about any of my reps whether they were real or not , most people think they are real because of the quality , when and if they think of reps or the more popular word "fake" they always think of the NY NY $10,00 Rolex Canal street junk ... I think it also depends on your age and where you live and work ? Only a person like us who is into rep watches would take notice and there aren't really that many out there ? Zed

Try using a very small tipped flat screw driver instead of the standard springbar tool as its to big & thick with an SS bracelet and keep at it until it pops in ? Zed

Exact same thing happened to me .. I knew from the start that the SMP chronos were bad for this but here is what I did .. I have 2 SMP chronos , one I bought for my brother who could care less about the watch so I asked him to let me see it for a bit , well I took the case back off of mine and pulled the crown out by pressing the little button where the arrow is and then just pulled the crown & stem out , so now I did the same to his and just switched the two , his crown & stem was actually about 2 millimeters longer than mine which I thought was weird but I installed it in my watch and now it works fine and actually screws in allot farther than before ... So I put my old crown stem back in his watch cuz he could care less if it screwed down or not and to my surprise it worked properly in his watch too ?? So , I would try just pulling the crown & stem out and cleaning the threads on it and then reinsert it and see if it works , not sure on that but try and find another crown & stem and switch the two , I am also wondering if the Gen crown & stem would work with the rep tube , maybe The Zigmeister could step in here ?? I hope your boss doesn't expect the next watch to run over night on the night stand , why everyone makes such a big deal over this I don't know , it a REP , deal with it or buy a Gen ! Zed

Sounds normal to me , mine won't always run in the winder either , it's just the way they are .. I suggest at night that you lie the watch down on it's side with the chrono buttons facing up but when that date change comes around it uses up allot of juice .. Normal !! Zed

All of the above ! It depends on the watch like say the SMP chrono , bezel alignment could be done so easily at the factory , no AR coating and the HE valve is off ... I also like chronos and have more than 20 , I wish there was a better selection between Swiss & Asian when it comes to chronos but most are the Asian version ... Zed
