  1. Apologies for spelling your name incorrectly Joacim. Well if you do give up, I want first refusal Good luck and I hope you get it sorted, if anyone can Domi can. Regards Mark
  2. Hi Joachim, They don't make these anymore, so if you really like it, repair is the only way forward. Try Domi, he's based in Germany and may be able to help you, do a search on the forum and you'll find his contact details. Oh and if you don't want to bother repairing it, let me know, I'll take it off your hands. I've been after one of these for a while. Regards Mark
  3. Where are you EU or US? Can you post a face shot of the watch.
  4. Try mailing vac, details in this forum under repairs/mod section, it's right at the bottom of the main page. See if its possible on the movement in the rep that you've chosen, the dial feet may need chopping, which means you've the devalued your original Breitling face.
  5. It's Member 2 Member, you should be able to access it, do a search for Breitling within the forum to give you an idea of what has been sold and the asking price, sellers usually list the mods they've done to the watch, this gives you an idea of what typically needs dong to a watch to get it to a reasonable standard. If you see something currently listed, send them a PM, this is a good forum and people are friendly and have a wealth of experience, members are all over the world so you may find a US seller.
  6. Bit off topic. Maybe you do, but he's the only TD you have to. At the end of the day, it's his loss, I just took my business to another dealer. No right or wrong, just opinion. : )
  7. 95/96? They didn't make the SA back then. As I said, do your own research of both the Genuine and the Replica market to avoid disappointment. AR is always the big tell on Breitling watches and is model dependant along with the sunken date wheel issue which is difficult to resolve. There are some very switched on people on this forum who can spot a fake Rolex and other brands at 10 paces but your average person in the street isn't going to know. You're best bet is to look at the M2M sales section in this forum and buy something that has been modded, that way you get the watch you really want, you may have to up your budget though.
  8. Wow, that's a lot of questions. This has been said many times by some very wise people; work out which model you want, look at the various trusted dealers in the TD section, most dealers sell the same watches, there is a very good post that some has written in this forum, read it, look at pictures of genuine watches and compare them with the ones on the dealers website. You'll struggle to find someone who has both a genuine and a replica of the same watch, you'd buy one or the other, not both. Remember you're buying a replica of a genuine watch which is a fraction of the cost of the genuine and they all have faults/tells. I own both genuine and replica Breitlings and you will struggle to replicate the purple/blue hue of the Breitling AR coating on the crystal. Work out what you can live with and what you cant and what you can do, if anything to fix it. Avoid Blue dials on Breitlings, the shades aren't right, you can't easily perform a dial swap as the feet that attach the face to the movement are often in the wrong place. Good Luck
  9. I used to deal with Andrew and would recommend him, he does accept Paypal. I've tried dealing with Toro but unless you have 3 legs and 4 heads and the planets are in alignment, he still won't accept Paypal. I've also been using Ryan at Intime and he accepts Paypal and so far has been great to deal with.
  10. And so it goes on....just heard from Intime that customs have "destroyed" my watch. So there's still some issues in China, so for anyone waiting for something to turn up, it may take longer than normal.
  11. You could try AP Bands website, won't be cheap though.
  12. I sourced one (AP MH) from Ryan @ Intime, first one had a chip in the crown guard, they'd got me another within a day, so I'd say they're not sold out or in short supply. Mark
  13. Really good idea by Angus, I bought 2, hopefully someone will snap up the remaining 12/13 slots soon, the odds are definitely better than the UK lottery.
  14. That explains a lot, I've just ordered and paid for an AP MH from Intime but haven't seen any further updates from DHL other than Collection requested. Thanks
  15. I know its a bit late now, I always used to Andrew but of late I've been using intime and have found Ryan great to deal with, the whole Paypal issue with Toro puts me off using him.
  16. Thanks Legend! I was hoping you would see the thread and comment, much appreciated. Regards Mark
  17. Hi, I suppose it was only a matter of time until I succumbed to buying a ROO. I don't know whether its still available or not. I would be very grateful if some of the AP experts could give me their opinion on the watch, I've tried searching the forum but can't find much information on the Watch, I've compared pictures of a supposed Gen and a replica and to my untrained eyes it looks ok. Thanks
  18. Nice watch, I'd buy from Toro if he accepted Paypal.
  19. Hi, Wow, stunning. PM Sent Regards Mark
  20. The link was in bugmenot's post, it's on YouTube. It's absolutely hilarious, it's originally from Downfall.
  21. At least I didn't fall for the v1... for a good laugh:
  22. Hi, Have a look in the TD section, TC has a link to his blog/site, his most up to date pricing is in there, I paid something like $567 to the UK. I know its a fair bit more than your original budget but its a great build out of the box, if you want to add to it you can and if you get bored of it, stick it on M2M and it'll be gone in a flash. From what everyone else says on here about his watches, they really are superb, but it is the older looking Sub which a lot prefer, me included, the only downside is the wait, it feels like an eternity, you pay your money and wait and wait and then eventually when you've forgotten about it, it turns up. Regards Mark
  23. Hi, I came to this forum after buying a very dodgy rep Rolex whilst on holiday and then started reading about TC and his Sub, have you considered maybe increasing your budget slightly and going for one of these? Or what about an Breitling Abyss 42, unfortunately the 44's are sold out. I own several genuine Breitling's and I get more comments about my TC Sub. Mark
  24. I'm really new to the forum. Your attention to detail, craftsmanship and the time you've devoted to this is incredible. I look forward to future posts. I'd also be interested in one of these. Thanks Mark
