  1. Anyone got a source for a 47mm/44mm case back tool? Preferably in the EU? Anyone got one they want to sell?
  2. I've been double banned too!!!!! Maybe we should start a "Double Banned by Klink" club !!!!!!! Pugs member No. 1 and I'm member No. 2
  3. It's about time you got rid of Klink. He is a liability to any forum. Not only was he a loose cannon, his own posts were full of gibberish and not sensible. I may spend more time over there as soon as I am given access again.
  4. Just tried to log into RWI, and got this message:- "You have been banned from this forum. Please contact the webmaster or board administrator for more information." Anyone else getting this, or has Klink remembered the spat we had a while ago and decided to ban me again?
  5. Can you do this yourself The Zigmeister if someone requested it?
  6. The case is closer to great white as the lugs are thicker than a DRSD case.
  7. Nice watch. Next it's the Tropic 39 flat top!!!!!!
  8. One thing that really stands out with a 1680 crystal is the incredible accuracy of the older style printing techniques being duplicated here. Without the cyclops you simply cannot appreciate just how true to genuine these dial wheels really are. If they are centred right on each numeral then we are on to a winner and another major flaw has been taken care of for our vintage Rolex's. Great job guys can't wait for mine, make sure you save me TWO Randy!!!!
  9. I second that. He banned me on RWI for legitimately selling a Navitimer, offering the buyer a choice of some spare dials I had. He thought I was a dealer!!!!For that he had to be bailed out by some of the more moderate MOD's. He seems to have a habit of jumping in with both feet before checking the facts. Just glad he has no involvement over here on RWG.
  10. All EMS mail is delivered by Parcelforce in the UK. Personally I have never had a problem with them. Ordinary Airmail is delivered by Royal Mail. Never had a problem with that either.
  11. Ummmmm...I see Josh and Andrew are conspicuous by their absence. Be nice to hear from them?
  12. Mine is a Fuji Finepix S9500 (S9000 in the States I believe). 28-300mm zoom lens. Macro mode to 1cm!!!!!! Built in everything. A superb camera. Without going to a SLR with detachable lenses I don't think you can do better than this one. Also one of the best at low light levels with virtually no noise. Check out the reviews.
  13. Nice watch. Tommy is quite good at doing mods. "Helflands buys from same source as Rolex".......Hmmmmm, I think not. I have both a Halflands and a GENUINE Rolex Tropic 39 flat top and the difference is miles apart. There is a small bevel on the edge of the Rolex crystal and the acrylic they are made from is different. You can tell by the way it refracts light. That's why Helflands is $10 and a Gen Rolex one $100!!! The springbars also look too small a diameter for the lugholes. Either the lugholes are too big or they are not genuine springbars. Lughole 1.3mm diameter and springbars 1.2mm diameter. I would also question the statement about the insert being the same. I can't see any serifs on the fonts as you can on a genuine Rolex insert. As I said before...Nice watch though.
  14. I don't really mind the caseback that I have on which is the version with the Rolex in a straight line. Backs have been interchanged over the years anyhow and I have seen White 1665's with the older style back on. Also if someone asks you to take off your watch for a closer look then you would be called out anyway. Especially if he was a WIS, or Randy!!!! You could always send me your caseback!!!!
  15. OK Guys, decision made. It's the Great White from now on. And to stop me changing back I've sold the DRSD dial!!!! Thanks Tony you have a fantastic dial. OK, R, yes you were right......again!!!!!!!!! Thanks mate.
  16. I think I am leaning more towards the Great White. The lugs are the right width and the case looks a bit too new for a DRSD. The dials both have their flaws but I like the fact you can easliy see "Sea Dweller" on the Great White a lot easier than the DRSD. I also like the look of the genuine flat top crystal than the superdome. The only left over part I will be selling will be a dial (already sold the insert and the SD is staying with me!!!), which considering The Zigmeister lumed it, someone will be getting a fantastic deal!!!
  17. I think there is some confusion. I only have one MBW but different dials and crystals to enable either version to be created. I will decide which version I will create after your input. Then I will sell the spare parts.
  18. I can't make my mind up between leaving my MBW as a DRSD or a Great White, so I want you guys to help me decide. Here are the pics:- MBW DRSD Genuine Tropic 39, Genuine Pearl and the best aftermarket insert, Genuine Crown and tube, CG's reworked, Dial relumed in vintage lume by The Zigmeister (hardly any lume at all really, but very realistic), Bold font datewheel, Correct 93150 hollow link bracelet with correct clasp, Lugholes drilled and genuine springbars fitted, Caseback aged and stripped of paint. MBW Great White Mods as above but with:- Genuine Pearl and insert, Genuine Tropic 39 flat top crystal (notice the 5 minute markers are not as distorted!!), Dial lumed as above by The Zigmeister. Which ever comes out on top I will keep to that model and sell the spare dial!!!
  19. Not quite correct....there are a few variants of the red sub dials as shown in the photo below. The earlier dial had the red sub wording the same size as the depth rating underneath. As the years rolled on they changed the dials and fonts and the shape of the rolex crown. The nearest dial to the MBW is the later 3.1million serial number watches, although as you point out the red sub isn't cherry enough (although I have seen a very dull one quite a while ago in real life). The crown on these later dials matches the MBW better as does the fonts. The MBW white sub dial has it's flaws too, it depends if you know where to look!!!
  20. As you already give the dial as a luminova replacement and the crown as gen (looks like twinlock to me), then my 0.02c is:- 3. CG's reworked (MBW or WM case) 4. Gen replacement pearl on a good swiss made aftermarket insert 5. and...lugs reworked to make them look aged (although like most MBW lugs they are a tad too wide.) Oh...and either one of your new datewheels or a Luenfat one from Ebay (can't decide just looking at the number 9...now if there was a 3 in the number then that's a different matter!!! Or even a 2 in the number.) Whatever the combination it looks good to me.
  21. I think you should take a job as a professional watch reviewer!!!! Another great review. And boy does the man love his Omega's
