  1. my wife is over working at the boat show this weekend too. and you're right about rolex's. they're like assholes ... everyone's got one. enjoy the rest of your weekend!
  2. congratulations rw ... very cool ring! expect a pm from me tomorrow regarding a datejust i have. it might be exactly what you are looking for. sorry for the suspense ... i just need to gather some pics. till then, enjoy your special day.
  3. i totally agree maciek. and this is how i keep my spending under control. any watches that i buy and do not get wrist time for one reason or another, are instantly put up for sale. i try to keep my collection to around six watches (see current list below). this way i have a small but solid collection to choose from. so, to answer the question ... how much money do i spend on watches? if i added up all my purchases over the years, it would be well into the tens of thousands. but at the same time, if i added up the watches i've sold, the number would be very similar. this way my hobby continues to be fun and affordable. all the best! rep ap roo rose gold rubberclad rep breitling skyland blacksteel rep iwc big pilot 5004 gen omega planet ocean gen oris r-4118 flight timer gen panerai 091 rep rolex gmt master 2 ceramic
  4. my blacksteel is the same. not sure why but all watches set differently. even my gen panerai isn't exact (15 seconds or so off). nothing to worry about and very normal.
  5. dust off your wallet and have fun!
  6. very nice david. congrats on the pick up!

i just watched your avatar loop 3,000 times to celebrate. congratulations buddy!
  9. my rose gold rubberclad arrived yesterday and i can't stop admiring it. here's a wristshot that i literally just took ...
  10. i wasn't able to pick my watch up on friday like i was hoping ... but yesterday it was delivered! as promised, here is a quick and dirty wristshot. please note that in my picture the rubber bezel and strap appear grey in color when in fact they are true black. this is an amazing watch, so anyone who is on the fence with this one ... jump! i'll try to post some better pictures soon. all the best.
  11. it actually arrived in my country this afternoon. i just called dhl and they said it wouldn't be delivered today but i could pick it up in an hour. fingers crossed as i'm going to swing by after work. stay tuned ...
  12. all i needed was a push ... thanks rkdk. payment just sent to my dealer and i should have it by the end of next week! stay tuned for pics but for now here's a little song to keep you going ... ac/dc - whole lotta rosie
  13. sorry to hear that ... hopefully it will turn up! did you check your car / work?
  14. yes, more info please. i'm ready to pull the trigger on this one but am unclear if the new dial is the lighter one or the darker one. please advise as the darker one looks better in my opinion. let's see some pics!
  15. a big thank you to cornerstone who not only sent me the complete vector files, he also did not want anything in return. i'm trying to get him to change his mind now. a great jesture from a great member ... thanks again to cornerstone and rwg!
  16. i was talking about the safari. sorry. different seller than the other auction that is now gonzo.
  17. hello all. just like the title says, i need help changing the logos below into vector files. we are having jerseys done up for our street hockey league and the printer requires this information. any help would be appreciated. for those that are willing to do this for me, i'll send you two panerai livestrong bracelets like the one seen in my avatar as a small reward. please remove any trademark symbols (r or tm) and also the name "portland" from the pirates logo. thanks in advance and i look forward to hearing back from some of you soon! all the best.
  18. hard to tell from the pics but the strap looks like the fake one. with a feedback of 11, i wouldn't go near this one.
  19. correct me if i'm wrong, but i believe the 60mm measurment includes the crown guard. i'm a big guy but even i couldn't pull that off. looks cool though!
  20. thanks for sharing. i love the apples to oranges comparison pics. lol.

    p90 x

not really, you need the program, weights or resistance bands and a chinup bar. there are other things you could buy but you don't have to have them.

    p90 x

i just did a search here for p90x to see if it was discussed ... and what do you know, here it is. it was cool to read everyone's comments. i just started the p90x program on monday and have every intention on following the diet and completing the 90 days. it's nice to know that there are others here to lean on. as a newbie, i don't have any tips but i hope that we can keep this topic alive and help each other reach the finish line. one problem i've already been faced with is time to prepare meals and do the workout. i have two young kids and i can see it already eating into family time which could cause problems. i am hopefull that i can get into a groove where i can balance everything. my wife and i were joking last night that the p90x slogan should be ... "decide. commit. divorce". lol. anyway, thanks for the topic post and i look forward to hearing more! all the best.
  23. lol. i'm just seeing this post now. i was introduced to rwg-1 in 2005 by my father. he has many gens and reps in his collection and because of this, i have always been intrigued with watches. around the same time, he turned me on to the brand panerai. i instantly fell in love with the pam 091. after joining the site, i decided to make the pam 165 my first rep. it was a no brainer for me as it was the closest to the 091 at the time and was only $150. i still have this watch today. and even better, i now have the gen 091. it's been great buying, selling and getting to know the individuals here. it truly is a sickness that most people out there would laugh at. but that's what makes this community great. it's our passion and we're here to help each other. thanks for having me rwg!
