I wish, hope and pray that Ella's pain will stop. Hopefully she can get out of the hospital soon to be with the family that loves her so dearly.
We're with you ELLA!!!
Incredible read.... These guys are supposed to be experts!!.... One guy started freaking out with a picture of the movement.. "they're even replicating the movements now! look at the red gears!!!?" (the picture was of an asian 21j aka DG2813)
Edit: Thanks Fxr. the rotor looked similar to my DG2813 so i assumed. In any case.. these guys seem more interested in preserving their elite status than how watches and the watch/rep industry work!
The gen can be found with both a curved S and a straight S. In 2008 Breitling also introduced several versions of the SOSF xl with arrow pointed seconds hand. All versions are correct.. This looks gen to me.. especially if it comes with papers.
Usually 21j refers to the DG2813 movement which is 21600bph.. some reps are also available with 21j highbeat movements also known as the DG4813. Both are 21j.. but one is highbeat and one is lowbeat. It is true that most watches will come with the lowbeat.
I'd appreciate some pics here.. I can't imagine how dirty the strap could get with only a few days of use... what exactly have you been doing with the watch? A sponge with hot soapy water seems like it should be sufficient for normal everyday dirt
I had no idea that spain was the biggest buyer of reps in europe.. Most watches i tend to see are real. The spanish do have a taste for nice watches though.
I guess i've never thought that "a day in the life of ryan" would be anything very interesting for anyone here to read. I guess i could manage it.. making sure I keep you guys interested with various wrist shots throughout the city. ( i work all over madrid). Stay posted Lani
The swiss ETA's you listed are identical except one has blue screws and the other normal colored. In either case, both of them with some modification would work. You would have to have a modder mod your hands so that they would fit on the Swiss cannon pin stack. You should talk to VACUUM about it. Send him a PM and ask his opinion.
Truth is.. it depends completely on the version flyback you have... do you have a 253 or 212? If it's a 253 V2.. good frickin luck. The screws that come with the watch are already not correctly sized, which is why they fall out in the first place... I had a huge problem getting replacements from Silix back in 2007 when the V2 253 came out. He sent me 2 sets of different sized screws and none worked.. I finally had to send the watch back to him. He fixed it.. sent it back to me.. and they lasted another 6 or 8 months before popping out again... at that point i just decided to pop for the V3 and call it a day.
p.s. the screws that come with the watch are 2mm
A real Kelevra Killer of a watch. I need to amplify my monetary fund... then follow suit with my watches.. that's the only reason this one isn't in my collection! Really beatuiful
Awesome purchase.. although PERSONALLY.. i just can't bring myself to like the seamaster.... Something about those curvy lines.. reminds me of the 90s... Don't think i'll ever like this watch personally.. But seriously. Congrats on the purchase!!
Now it's cousin on the other hand, i'd definitely consider as a gen!:
that's what i call PURE CHUNKY GOODNESS! Great buy SQL.. if you're into refinishing your watches.. Refinishing with a refinish pad also brings out a nice shine.. never tried the toothpaste thing though!
@Powershot and Lani... I think i just wet myself with both of your pics.. I've been almost on the fence about this watch for the last month.. every time i see it i like it more and more... I ahve a rolesium that I LOVE.. but I unfortunately NEVER wear it.. (except for my wedding day)... I just can't bring myself to wear a rollie very much!!! is there something wrong with me??
@Lani and Jojo.. haha.. yea me too.. whenever my rep fails me.. i just go and buy the gen.. It's the most practical thing to do.. especially when it comes to the A Lange & Sohne and AP limited edition models..
Buy this and let your bro see a real mans Royal Oak...... don't think he'll be waving much of anything around at you with this weapon on your wrist...
haha
