  1. It's definitely my favorite and FIRST G-shock ever. It's absolutely amazing. I love it The tough solar feature is pretty amazing. The fact that It should theoretically never need battery changing or lose a second for the life of the watch.. is pretty incredible here's the time article: http://www.time.com/time/specials/packages/article/0,28804,1945379_1944278_1944299,00.html
  2. nice watch P4.. but i think you missed the point.. The main reason for buying this watch.. was it's indestructibility factor... I have enough "diving" watches.. and i need something that i can jog in.. that has TIMER, Chronograph, and alarm functions. The watch i bought has all of those features and can withstant getting run over by a tank.. On top of that... if I'm ever stranded on a desolate island.. the watch would keep perfect time forever and i'd know the moon cycles!!!
  3. still sounds like my computer can do that.. my dell starts up in 32 seconds, and has more ram and a more powerful graphics card than the ipad.. it weighs less than 3 pounds... and costs about half of what the ipad does...... I still am not getting it...
  4. congrats dude. Looks nice
  5. sorry jchurch.. live with it! Like Deniz said... this is true for Gens as well
  6. thanks red, pm sent
  7. because getting out your macbook air and pressing the power button was hard???
  8. joooo.. vaya pelucos que tienes macjulivert!!!! Navitimer... no sabia que eras de los madriles... a ver si nos quedamos para hablar de los relojes algun dia! Awesome watches dude.. I'm loving the Carlos Coste. I like them a lot but for some reason.. when i look at them i think "etipical espanish".. I see soo many of them on the spanish forums.. they're not that popular over here but I don't know why! NICE watches!
  9. stay away from the spotted [censored]....
  10. Anyone got one lying around.. PM me, cuz i'm VERY interested!
  11. Suffice it to say.. I generally agree with the whole post. I own 3.. but I don't wear any of them enough(besides the dssd ) sadly because they have the name.. "rolex" written on their dials. The one real thing that sets rolex apart from everyone else is their name. Instantly you say the name rolex.. and automatically someone gets a mental image. This works both FOR and against rolex. It must be admitted that 85% of people don't by a rolex for their designs.. The designs.. (albeit original) have not changed for the most part during the last half century and many mid-range companies make watches with almost exact specifications to rolex for half the price and just as good quality.. There's something about having the name ROLEX written on your watch that does something to all of us psychologically...
  12. unfortunate news no less
  13. i guess i missed something too! This sounds like juicy gossip.....
  14. woohooo! finally!
  15. True.. but one of the guy's main points is that rolex hasn't done anything new or come out with anyting remotely different in the last 50 years.. I'm not saying that the DSSD breaks the mold completely.. but damn.. it's not your typical sea-dweller OR submariner for that matter.. In my opinoin rolex really went out on a limb with a design like that.. but look at the commotion it caused after it's release!
  16. By the nanuq test.. Do you mean rolling over it in your car right?????? if that's the case.. i think there'd be no problem
  17. @gran: Like the comment on the youtube video said... i think this watch would survive 9/11
  18. A new G-shock. GW-7900b-1 I've been eyeing this watch as a workout watch for the last 2 or 3 months. Yesterday I bit the bullet. It's freakin beastly. It's radio-atomic synchronized, and solar powered, so you never have to replace the battery. On a full charge the battery lasts for 9 months without any sunlight! The watch has a tide meter, moon phase, multiple time zone, automatic DST and up to 5 alarms. It also synchronizes itself automatically with one of 6 or 7 atomic radio transmission points across the globe. I've never been a fan of G-shocks till I saw this blacked out model with the screws... it was named number 8 on Time Magazine's list of top ten gadgets of 2009 paired with my other black beast.. The Skyland Blacksteel: with the DSSD: Really similar size to the skyland Blacksteel: Six atomic radio bands.. for being perfectly in sync: Lume is pretty cool and can be set to sense your body movement and automatically light up when the watch is moved and tilted to a "watch glance" position towards the wearers face (of course it has a light sensor that will allow this to happen only when it's in a dark environment): It's got wrist stabilizer straps to keep the watch centered on your wrist: The wrist shot: This watch will be my new travel beater, and workout watch. You guys should see some of the tests they put these g-shocks through! p.s. Thnx Mastermind for your wrist shots of your Japanese model that really pushed me over the edge!
