  6. I wish lani were around right now to chime in on this one..... Dude has more watches than I have socks...
  7. SWEET!! yes the watch is lovely. But just to be sure.. I'd have it pressure tested and waterproofed when you get a chance. It definitely gives you peace of mind
  8. haha.. never thought about how much it would cost to Buy the GEN version of all my watches! Around 90,000 usd! The APs Panerai and Hublots really boost the value up ridiculously.
  9. congrats RED!! Who wants to place some bets.. I say He won't get another 2,500 for at least another year....
  10. Sure there will never be a more accurate version of this model. To begin with, this GEN model is a Royal Oak Chrono. To my knowledge there are no accurate Royal Oak chrono models that have been repped, principally because of the subdial spacing and running seconds should be at 6 o'clock. Secondly the genuine Royal Oak chronos have thin Hands and smaller 40mm case. As such, the rep is very wrong with a 42mm case. Basically they've taken the 40mm design of the gen and put it into a 42mm Royal Oak Offshore case. Used Offshore hands and used the traditional 7750 seconds layout with running seconds at 9 o'clock. Having said that, I like the fact that it's bigger than the original, as I like beefy watches. I actually wish the gen was an Offshore and not a Royal Oak Chrono. Despite it being a quasi-fantasy watch, I think it's my favorite AP that I've ever seen. Of course I'll shoot snap some shots of it as soon as it arrives. Mine will also be on bracelet instead of rubber
  11. Good story... but Tisk tisk....... I'm not one to say.. never take your rep to an AD, but I do not condone taking it in for repair! p.s. If your watch is 42mm.. wouldn't that make it a BR03-92? Not a BR 01-92....
  12. 2011 will be here before you know it. This past year flew by ridiculously fast!
  13. Hey condemore and Bosk.. thanks for your pics.. after over a year of saying that this would be my first AP.. I've finally bought it! Hopefully no problems with it! Your pictures couldn't have helped influence me more!!!!!! Big shout out from Madrid!
  14. Any other takers for spain? We've got a few members here as well. Condemore, Navitimer, Colorao, Macjulivert and the famous francisco... just to name a few!!

  17. I'll give you a couple of my watches for free if you let me borrow the 777 for a year...... What do you say?
  18. It's a Royal Oak in an Offshore case isn't it? He even gives a link.. showing you a version of the real watch where you can clearly see the flaws! wish i could report him.. but it's in dutch!!!!
  19. I'm there without a doubt next year... blondes.... naked?? Don't even have to think about that!
  20. Don't bin the watch. If you indeed have an ETA 2836 in it.. It would be well worth it to service the watch and have it running perfectly for possibly the next ten years. The movement you have is not a bad movement, but the chinese often put older unserviced movements in our watches that may have been sitting on shelves, and/or in an unprotected environment. I know it's annoying.. but I know of NO well-known dealers that truthfully service all their watches before shipment. If you're going to buy an ETA movement it's worth the value of the movement that you have it serviced (dismantled, cleaned, oiled and reassembled) Just my opinion.
  21. Bought a new AP can't wait for it to arrive!!!

oh wow - absolutely love it!! Its inaccurate because the gen has a Ti case?

that and the gen is a normal royal oak 40mm. The rep uses a 42mm offshore case. wrong case back, incorrect subdial spacing, fat offshore hour and minute hands. But you have to admit it's beautiful :)
