you should include details and a photo of each watch!

I for one.. LOVE the idea! It shouldn't be limited to nature though.. city scenes and society should count as well!

Hey Jkay... For your info... The normal V5 on my wrist in the picture is brushed and polished with a refinishing pad and a cape cod polishing cloth!!... it's not the brightness it's the color... The new one I have is distinctly brighter colored steel. -
still waiting for this post to climax.....

No... YOU DA MAN! Keep it up Mac!

I also think it's important to remember look at who's chimed in on this thread... we all have over 1500 posts.. and are all very active here. I'd venture to say 90% of most threads and topics are here are started by fewer than 300 dedicated members of our community.. While it may seem inactive and boring to us.. for the other 90% of people on the forum, this forum serves as a wealth of knowledge and information and without commitment to comment or contribute to the "banter". Just because us "post-whores" of the community are taking a break, doesn't necessarily mean the community's demise or downfall. 90% of members are still out there lurking.. reading.. studying and absorbing. Our past and present conversations are more helpful than ever to soo many more people than we realize!!!

CALLED OUT!! oooh! haha.. j.k i think it looks good both ways though to be honest!

Originally it's 43mm.. This year.. i've noticed that the ads in ebay and on the rolex site that it has been upped to 44mm. Don't get confused.. the dimension have remained exactly the same since it's introduction.. whether or not rolex is saying 44mm to "market" the watch as their "big boy" in the line-up is completely unbeknownst to me. I would venture to say it's closer to 44mm than 43mm just by the feel it has on my wrist. The presence on my wrist is actually quite similar to my 44mm Skyland Blacksteel

i don't wear a watch when i sleep, shower, play ball, or work out .. That's about 3/4 of my week right there without a watch!

I would just stay away.. plain and simple..

Looks horrible.. I can't believe this carries the yachtmaster name.. nothing about it says.. "yacht" or mastery... it looks like a confused clown with too much makeup.... p.s the "yacht-master" engraving on the bezel of the rep is a horrible dead give away. Not even close to the same font as the original

All that coming from a man who went from an average of like 40 post/day his first year.. to a quite 4 or 5 these days... haha. just kiddin red! I think all of your points are valid P4. I've seen the forum go through lots of ups and downs over the past 3 years. (like you have). In the end, it's all about human connections.. It's funny how the absense of some of the forums Key members can have an effect on the "liveliness" of the forum in it's entirety. But ultimately, it does. Another factor is definitely the number of new reps that have been released this year. (next to NOTHING!). Granted the other watch sites still seem to get higher sign-up rates and general activity these days.. The content generally tends to lean towards.. "I want to buy this".. "I want to sell that"... "who makes the best..?", etc. All of those questions are part of the territory, but in my personal experience I feel that the other forums are more empty in substance than what we have here. We're definitely more laid back and slower paced, but I like it that way. Sometimes banter is great, but sometimes it's nice to know that our community really does behave like a community and not some no-rules internet forum. I find our community a bit like Madrid (my city) .. I find it depressing and annoying sometimes that everyone in the month of August is gone.. Sometimes random weekends will feel this way too. The city sometimes feels like a ghost town, but sometimes the times of quietness are what inspire people to come out of the woodwork. And it gives other members who might not be soo well known an opportunity to speak up and get to know a lot of us, while not being constantly overshadowed by big intimidating posters like some of us are! Hola from ESPAÑA!

Correct size is 43mm.. but recently i've been seeing a shift to publish 44mm.. I'd say it's closer to 44 than 43mm judging by how it wears on my wrist.. To all others. I will definitely let you all know who the source is really soon! I didn't want to open up a can of worms on the forum about a new dealer. Sometimes it's better for the dealer and community to let things happen slowly. and not in floods... I also want to speak with the dealer about his status with mods and admins here before i go recommending anyone.. Thanks for the understanding!! Stay tuned! -Plai -
Hey buddy! Spain is great as always. Finally startin to warm up in madrid!!! So isn't the big day getting close! Have you decided on which watch you're gonna sport! :whistling:

Sad isn't it?? I think someone got scammed..

I'm guessing the watch has never been serviced right? Try the mall first.. NOT an authorized dealer.. but a watch repair shop.. if the worker has experience with mechanical movements i don't thin it'll be expensive. On the other hand.. he might tell you that he only works with quartz watches.. in which case.. you should find some place else or contact one of the modders/techies on the forum and send it off to get serviced

Got my DSSD last week from a non-approved dealer. I love it. Decided to take a risk going with a non-approved dealer, but It arrived safe and well protected: I've had the V5 asian for a while now.. (bought it used from another member here) and I wanted to take the plunge. I was interested in eurotimez.. but didn't wanna have to wait 4 months for a watch.. I then started thinking about the Ultimate.. but couldn't justify the difference in price compared to eurotimez. A few things I noticed right off the bat. The watch's finish is definitely brighter than my previous DSSD and it really stands out in certain light. The bezel is great despite the pearl being a teeny bit flat. The dial finish is not Glossy like my previous watch.. it's distinctly semi-glossy. Big difference from my last DSSD. The "OGEV" and "RLS" engravings on this watch are almost perfect. it's hard to capture it in the photos.... but it looks better and more even in person than in the photos. Photos: (in reality.. the "RLS" engraving on the bottom looks perfect.. this photo has a slight angle to it i guess! The "R" and the "M" are even in reality) old V5steel DSSD on left new steel dssd on the right: again.. old V5 on the left new one on the right: (notice the font is slightly bolder on the new one.. not sure if it's more accurate.. but i think it looks great!) That's about it. Just thought I'd share with you guys. Again.. if anyone can offer insight as to which version I have.. great.. if not.. I don't really care! There's too many damn versions of this watch as it is. This one seems just fine to me! -Plai

Sorry to say it probably isn't. Too many people try to sell these off as GENs out there in the real world. It's sad. In any case.. I remember seeing a franken vintage daytona go for over 10,000k if my memory serves correctly... (sometime last year)
