Well I have a DG4813 on its way to me......
BUT I also ordered a UPO Swiss version from a dealer on Repgeek.... So I'll prob end up selling the upo lite. lol
The Zigmeister, the watch keeps stopping at 1145 (right before the date change) so i thought i might be able to be replace the movement, and just swap all the parts over.
are you saying the DG8413 is a non existant movement? or just replacements arent to be found. you lost me there....
would the Miyota 8215 have the same date font that would be accurate for the planet ocean? and would the hands, dial date etc fit it?
*EDIT* could it be the DG4813 and not 8413?
http://www.ofrei.com/page1119.html
i see it listed in Ofrei's site..
I was searching and it seems to be DG8413 movement??
can anyone help me?
does anyone know if this movement can be bought in the US? I tried searching for it on ofrei's site but im having issues. anyone got pointers?
*on another note, if i install a ETA 2846, what kind of date wheel will i need to get so the font matches. (black date wheel i know, but is it just a standard ETA 2846 datewheel?)
and yes i know ill need new gen hands
@ Mr. Radioactive, lol no offense taken.... I want to do the same mods ;-)
my stupid mbw sub, is in almost 1k range =( and the modded UPO, I'm sure is more accurate.
Hey guys....hes talking about when he pulls out the crown to set the time.... THEN its loose?
what happens when he screws it down? is it ok then?
if it is, sounds like its normal, because when u pull out the crown to set the time, its only held there by the thin eta stem. which flexes slightly..... no?
correct me if im wrong.
@TTK - LOL, crazy how you coined a term thats turned SO popular, that everyone uses it to describe their sub (thats not a mbw) its kinda like Kleenex, or hell I work for a Large ISP, which provides Cable Internet, we get people bitching about their DSL all the time, and we tell them you called the wrong place. lol
marty - thanks, but its not that.
its almost like when it gets to midnight the watch runs out of power to flip the date...but thats really the case because its wound more then enough...(it runs FINE for all of the other 23 hours, just that 30mins or so before the date change...) *shrug*
1st my daytona I got used from someone, "runs perfect" but it stops all the time for me....cant even get it to run consistant for a few hours =(
now my new "used" upo lite..... it stops at around midnight....any ideas why? it runs fine all thru the day, but when it gets near 1130 PM ish it will stop.... must be something to do with the date change?
if The Zigmeister reads this, can this movement be serviced?
i'm so over buying "used, perfectly running!" watches from the for sale sections.
