  1. haha R, shes prob gonna get a nice pair of Gen. Earrings for Xmas. I'm sure she will love them.
  2. See I bought a Seiko when I was in Japan that is a Day/Date. I specificly bought it there because it will always forever remind me of that wonderful trip. The Day is in Kanji/English. But alas it is small so I rarely wear it.
  3. She said "I hope so, it was a gift" with a big grin. Way to go woman! She can handle her own. I'm so proud of her. I think I created a monster, now shes looking at other reps as well.
  4. I can totally understand where you are coming from. I've had to fix problems created by others in my line of work. (I fix computers in my offtime) and it sucks having to unmuck up someone elses problems that were created.
  5. Happy Thanksgiving R and to all of RWG!
  6. freddy, how far into the movement do you have to dig to remove the autowinding gears? does that increase the reliabilty of manually winding the 7750? I've read not to manually wind these as the gears are prone to stripping...are these the gears that are removed? thanks!
  7. looks like it needs a super lume, send it to The Zigmeister!
  8. quartz is a bad word around here =) that is a nice watch thou
  9. Freddy sorry to hear that its been a bad week, but it is good news that the seller did not pull a bait and switch on you. and on a side note one of the benifits of getting gen parts that dont work with your current project is an excuse to build ANOTHER project :-)
  10. Thank you Freddy. I have just placed my order for 1 DW 6263 with silver dial black bezel and because i couldnt decide a steel bezel too. i also ordered a v72 case back. i cant wait for it to arrive!!
  11. ^ there he is ..freddy looks like ill be ordering this from him today sometime. can i just remove the rotor and replace with the lower profile case back with out any other mods and still wind it manually reliably? also if anyone has or can take a pic of a sub side by side so i can get an overall feel for size it would be much appreciated! thanks all for the replys and helping a fellow watch addict spend /more/ money lol
  12. yea lol. thats a DW case from my understanding is what Freddy has recommended. A7750, remove the rotor and install the V72 case back to make it slimmer like the gen. I'm trying to figure out if i want the white face with black bezel. or white face with silver bezel(which i cant seem to find a picture of)... OR silver face with black bezel! (nor am i sure if they are all accurate combinations) i'm still searching the forums for more pictures I think i really like this version Picture belongs to Freddy333 (Please PM me if you would like me to remove picture) I'm not quite sure if its a white or silver dial. I'll wait for Freddy's input. =) This one is from GadgetMan (Please PM me if you want me to take this down) I can see the dial is silver. It's nice! I cant decide!!!
  13. this is a DW 6263 in the upper 2 pics is the one I'm looking at purchasing. From what i've researched so far....this is the one i should be wanting. =) is this the one that can take genuine parts later if i want. its supposedly the 7750 version. does everything look "accurate" out of hte box? size wise as i understand it is 39mm not counting the pushers/crown so should wear similar to a Sub? and 19mm betweeen the lugs? thanks in advance!
  14. search the rolex forum. there is a link on how to contact him somewhere in there. i came across it a few days back when searching for DW myself =)
  15. wow that does look pretty good....do i see what looks like a gen like crown tube? the crown looks like its gen sized too!
  16. he is quoting me 350.00 for a 6263 I'm goign to assume thats for a 7750 version im waiting for more details and pictures. is there anything wrong with this particular version? i can change it to a manual movement later right?
  17. actually i just sent an email to DW hopefully he replies!
  18. do any of these no dates have no lugholes? i have a spare mbw 16610 that id love to convert to a no date but i wasnt sure if 1) i can find the dial 2) its accurate with out lugholes
  19. Gadget Man - ok where can i get one of these? is this something i can buy from one of our dealers or do these have to be "built" ive fallen in love. i see josh has one http://www.jpc8118.com/rldv01001-updated-v...nos-p-3620.html but it seems that the dial is white? yours looks silverish almost....and the 6 oclock dial is fixed needed. where did u purchase? and does yours move?
  20. UPDATE: i forced the spring bars out of the watch and got the new Noob bracelet lined up and installed....one side was too tight so i had to VERY lightly sand the sides EVER so slightly to fit. Swapped the WM9 Clasp onto the noob bracelet and its perfect now. (might shave down the solid end link later to make it look sharper/closer to gen but thats later) Thanks for the help people!
  21. ok so its not similar to the noobmariner and such where u can press out and in the crystal without pulling off the bezel i guess. time to shop for a cheap press
  22. He listed Rolex 25- 295-C2 for me there are 2 more left. Now....do i really need a crystal press or can i press it out with my thumbs and press it back in just as easily?
  23. thanks to all who replied...i now have one of the correct crystals in route to me. =)
