  1. hmm... its a toss up between this or the submariner from bestswiss.com. So, we're supposed to protect people from dealing with scam sites and paying way too much for a watch. Now then, who's going to protect us from ourselves? God forbid they gold plate some other parts with .001 microns of rose gold, or dlc or pvc and throw in some ceramic screws, we're looking at upwards of a grand buy in. pvd... More like someones smoking PCP if they think I'm dropping a grand on a watch thats not going to even work when I receive it... Yep a grand. Don't forget to add $200 to that cost to have The Zigmeister service the 7750. Thats [censored] pre owned gen territory.
  2. superb review. Lovely eye candy as well. There's a lot of time and effort that go's into getting photographs that good.
  3. Ordered. Lets see how this Ebay'er is. under $50, shipped. pics and reviews of this to come. I intend to beat the living [censored] out of it and update you every step along the way.
  4. Still trying to pry myself away from two very influential new friends...
  5. lol apparently I got a head start last night.
  6. Graham. It will be HIGHLYT visible in wrist shots. pardon my typo's I literally cannot see what I type in the post fields anymore since the last upgrade. So when should we get this rolling?
  7. You guys are extreme. I rode my mountain bike on the trails last sunday and puked after like 10 miles of trails. Gotta get back on it again, i've lost my stamina. I wonder what puking at 4,000ft down would be like. That rigorous dive. Face it, only 007 could pull this off and not upchuck chum his way into the loving grin of a shark, leaving an arm husk with a shiny dual time zone death watch to show for it... At the bottom of the Marianas trench of course. Could make for a great James Cameron flick. The "Heart of the Ocean" wouldn't be a ruby necklace though, and would now come equipped with a flatulent valve and kung-fu grip. Even dems can't surpass my whimsy after a few toxic liquid sanctuaries! Dare I say. Pour one up and lets see. Start a new thread though, this has gone way off track since fakey started running on and on in his long winded typical fashion. Post [censored].
  8. Awesome review. I see a photographer hobbyist in the making with those macro-esque shots. A watch I've always had on my short list but has never come to fruition. You may have moved it up a rung.
  9. If we go graham, I WILL open Amstel's with it. I won't be able to resist. The VC is beautiful, but gold. I will need 1 months notice to grow my arm hair out for wrist shots. The Rolex... Single, would get me laid within 24hrs given the right locale, but being that I am engaged would get me heckled and laughed at in any locale. The BV.. I'm NY Italian and would still feel uncomfortable although I would reconsider becoming a made man. Spare links would be needed so I could wear it guinea style. 1 month arm hair rule applies. All jokes aside I think this is great and I've been waiting for this to start back up again. I think since you started it, you pick the watch! No matter what it is, we would all have fun with it. Hell, even a timex Ironman would be hysterical. "After several jaunts to the local titty bars and some abrasive lap dances it's still kept COSC. I tried to polish out the scratches from the stripper pole but to no avail" Great idea!
  10. and search!!!! Why did I tell you all of that? Man.. I was lucky though, I had dems and high flying clive coach me through it back in my noobness, so its only fair I baby a few of you guys. You know how long it took most guys that come here to figure all that out because no one will answer that question you just asked because it gets asked several times a day and is one of the most debated and sought after topics we deal with and now you have to read this long run on sentence as punishment because ive mixed Australian and Canadian beer and it always gives me problems yet I never learn because somehow that just so happens to be what I get served or end up with the mix max of six packs in the fridge and of course have to drink them all. I love you. Seriously, db. ahaha... db... douchbag. If you take this [censored] advice, buy a great watch and dont participate in this forum anymore by paying it forward then you and I are finished. No more love. Send this to 100 of your friends and donate $1,000 to RWG or every cupcake you ever eat again will taste like hooker taint and not the kind with the cream filling. The cupcake not the hooker taint, the hooker taint will taste like the one with the cream filling. And thats the basics of the ETA 2836-2. Always wear incabloc shock protection.
  11. What watches are you interested in? My opinion is this... Most of the watches are the same, with like you said, just the movements themselves being the deciding factor. Sort've like engine options on a car. Asian 21j are crap shoots. They can be unreliable. They are cheap. With the right know how or watchsmith though, they are a dime a dozen and can be replaced if necessary. The main problem, is they beat slower than real swiss watches. They beat at 21bph, Rolex's current in house movements, as well as the ETA movements that power TAG, Omega's, Breitlings, to name a few, beat at 28.8BPH. What does this mean? BPH is the tick tock. It is what makes the smooth sweep of the hand. The asian 21j second hand will sweep more choppy, with about 3 ticks per second, as apposed to the ETA (both clone and gen) which will beat (correct me if i'm wrong) 7 times a second, and looks very fluid. Clone ETA... Right now this is a great option as they're showing to be as reliable and serviceable as a genuine ETA. They beat like the genuine, and just plain haven't had any complaints arising around any of the boards. Probably being pumped out of the same damn machines that make the genuine ETA movements. Genuine ETA... Well, it doesnt get better then the exact same thing they put in the gen. For the grail watch thats a keeper, that really special watch you want nothing but the best from.. Go for broke, go Swiss(ish). A7750 aka the chronographs... . these watches (the ones with the little subdials) are the pain in the ass high maintenance 600hp do it yourself turbo civic engine of watches. Basically, plan on spending $200 to have the watch serviced upon receiving it if you want it to be reliable, and know a good watchsmith. Once serviced, they can be reliable as gen based on the findings of our rep scientists on RWG. Basically.. establish yourself with zigmeister if you want a keeper 7750, and have it serviced by him.
  12. there is no simple. there is no slowing down. Sometimes your up, sometimes your down. A race with no end but the end of all ends. greed or need is the choice we defend plastic shovels swiped until you're 6ft under sip toxic sanctuary and hide from the thunder.
  13. A few.. I am losing quality resizing. I know BT said to keep the files as bmp until the final save, but the cam puts out jpeg. With some of the big brother assists turned on, RAW is no longer a choice. I'll get the hang of it... The sun was setting on the rear of the house. Grainy..... Ugh!! Thanks for the reply's and letting me pain your eyes.
  14. lol... Think about it. GMT is multi-directional bezel, which if utilized on a dive watch could kill a diver. Neither function of either tool watch (GMT or Diving) have anything to do with each other unless a pilot is skydiving out of planes in the marianas trench then taking an F16 at full thrust to another time zone and ejecting for dive #2. With all the gear to be considered, not changing the time of your watch is hardly something that stands out as a luxury function at this point. Its just fantasy poserish to me. Not to say it doesnt look cool. I get that. But you should know better since your a WIS, tech!
  15. Thanks guys. I don't know why my hobbies are always so expensive! Why can't I like quilting or coloring books or something! We need replica glass....
  16. Oh my God!! A macro lens is going to cost me $1500? How about a $100 or less macro lens w/ free shipping?
  17. Thanks P and red. I agree, definitely yellow. I have a long way to go. P- I'll look into those, thank you for replying.
  18. Very nice! I like the color and grain of the wood. Your collection choices are nice and well rounded, too.
  19. 18 days is a while. Thats not normal, but tis the season. I'd like to think that should be arriving anytime now and just never got scanned for an update to tracking online.
  20. I need a suggestion for a macro lens purchase.
  21. Got a Canon Rebel. Excited to get more into photography, it's something I've liked since childhood. Any suggestions on where to go about learning to use the camera proper-like, would be appreciated. I look forward to sharing some better imagery with my fellow RWG.
  22. Freddy five fingers Rolex! cool shot my man! Today the Skyland mated to the pro diver strap
