  1. The jury is out on this one for me... I'll let you know after the full review.
  2. Lani I think your smokin way to much of that poco loco lately. Under my name it says Tampa. My sig also says my forum handle, and my name. Although, I do remember making this specifically for you a looong time ago, remember??
  3. I hang out on RWG and you could've fooled me. Needs a better pearl, thats all I can come up with. Love the SEL fitment to the case.
  4. Hike, that is bad ass just like your avi. Skyland on pro diver today.
  5. Good read. Looks like he went for the Skyland V2 for his personal collection.
  6. mmmhm. The only thing to catch onshore in Tampa is suicide carcus's. Around the holidays we've got 2-3 a week jumping off of the sunshine skyway bridge. Ah, the holidays.
  7. Pics aren't the greatest, but here's one of those new ladies TAG Link quartz models. The so called 1:1 genuine, all parts interchangeable, best ladies rep ever better than gen, blah blah blah. This particular watch came from Reg, always the gentleman. He was reluctant to make any of those superwatch claims though, just offers a fair price and service. Some impressions.. Quartz movement. Once you get past the initial reaction, this could actually be a good thing. The gen is quartz. You can actually give your woman this watch without begging the 21j Gods to "please let it still be working when she unwraps it". I am comfortable gifting this watch, a position I haven't found myself in very often in this hobby. The detractor to this added robustness, would be the bezel and dial stones, typically a rep no-no. However, If these stay put, then this is a fantastic watch for the money. If they come loose, a jewlery repair shop should be able to throw another CZ in. They seem set very well. Nicely aligned, no loose settings to speak of. They do not fire nearly as much as the gen, but that is to be expected. They do fire well, and look great. The MOP dial is awesome. It has a wide variation of color depending on the angle and lighting, and plays well with the inner pink dial ring. Bracelet. This caused me some major problems. Allow me to say none of these were Reg's fault, he was kind enough to search his spares for me but had none at hand, nor any extra bracelets to part with. If your girl doesn't have a small wrist, say like that of an Asian woman... Then you are going to need more links then it comes with. The factory doesn't want to supply extra links, they want a small fortune for a whole bracelet (asking more than half of what I paid for the watch) if you can convince someone to be willing to get it for you at all. There was not even ONE spare gen link available on Ebay, or even TZ as far as I could see. Good news is, I may actually have found a solution for this, I am working on it as we speak. In the meantime, LapTime has graciously offered to send me two spares he had. Thanks LapTime! A true gentleman. Other than the possibility of needing a spare link or two, the bracelet quality is excellent, nearing the quality of my gen. The flip lock clasp with the TAG shield emblem has some roughness on the inner portion of the stamping, albeit minor. The engraving on the clasp itself is very well done. The individual links themselves are well done also. A few corners and edges of the folding parts of the clasp do not have the level of finish a gen has. The fit and finish overall is good and the end links mate with the case and lugs nicely with nothing agape. The crown screws down with just the right amount of rotation and has a good feel in its working. These models do not suffer from the abnormally long crowns that stuck out on some previous ladies TAG reps. The caseback is very well done, model and serial numbers are done correctly. My initial impressions are this could be one hell of a present for all your special ladies out there. Unless you're familiar with the rep in the flesh, you'll be hard pressed to deem one as such.
  8. I don't doubt that, although truth be told I have work piling up because I simply cannot afford to get it done. LT, from what i've gathered keeping up with whats said around here for a while now, the A7750 has some intricacies that would probably be best served by only the man himself. My "keeper" A7750 pieces (ok, piece. My Skyland V3) will go to Z, or no one at all. I cannot vouch for Vac, as I seemed to get the cold shoulder to my communications even when I told him we apparently lived close to each other.
  9. You guys giving anything? Getting anything? Got one of those new TAG Link models for my fiance.
  10. Good question. Zig is the only one I would trust, however I could really use a local option for a few things, too.
  11. "We're gonna need a bigger watch"
  12. So basically its a toss up between RobbieG: Hawaii, and the host of Iron Chef? I'm going to have to think about this one...
  13. Dem's must've ran out of single malt.. Seems like someone's drinking the sourmash tonight!
  14. Thats a great looking watch. The pictures are a treat to go along with the newfound knowledge of these coatings. It's very much appreciated, thanks to you both!
  15. Nice lume. Stainless, screw down crown, no maintnance, and no remorse if I smack it into a tree. Updated with a shot of it on NATO. Won't be long before my trigger finger gets happy with the buy it now button somewhere. I have to have this. Anyone else order one yet?
  16. Almost 100 views and no replies to a free rep for a donation to RWG, nice! Thats a great gesture Anguz, hope one of my RWG neighbors up north see this thread. Probably the fuzzy pics keeping people from biting, just to be honest.
  17. Tampa was about 60 degree's today, the coldest it's been all year. Outside Inside
  18. The guy is famous for being good at whacking a ball with a stick. Thats all. Personally I'm glad I dont have to see every single TAG model with some OMGTIGERWOODS edition with his gay signature adorning the caseback and some random tasteless dial color change.
  19. I think Lanikai has been put on the defense. Things a little steamier than necessary. I don't want to get involved, my lame joking attitude aside for a moment though... Lanikai himself has colorful words for people that post PM's on the open forum, but I am going to take a chance and post one. Directly from a PM I received from Lanikai over a year ago. (donating) does not make you any less of a member in my eye's or anyone elses for that matter.. I think that needed to be seen. Now... Post some pictures of your nipples. Go!
