are you sure you're not just hearing the rotor move? The dial is attached to the movement with dial feet. Little prongs that stick out of the underside of the dial and insert into the movement. Does the watch have a display case back? Watch for movement through it if so.

When you checked the tabs and they were tight, was the movement still loose and moving around? Can you see it moving around through the display case back? It sounds like the dial itself may be loose, but that leads me to more questions. How many tabs were there? This could be a simple repair for your local watchsmith, $20-$30ish. Pictures may help if you can post some. Movement side.

Sounds like the mvmt is a little loose. Theres a couple of tabs that hold the movement into the case, pop the back and make sure they are tight. You can see two at the bottom and one at the top in this pic of a SFSO.

Nice shots Freddy. I was fooling around with rendering something, long story short this came out odd but I liked it enough for wristcheck today. It's the 177H The posessed "dead on midnight" 177H that is. Maybe that first shot was through a filter looking for other-worldly spirits??
