Smoking it would be best, but I am apartment bound- no smoker. I've never heard of keawe wood, but it sounds tasty!
You know i'm going to try that papaya trick, i'll post back with my findings. Awesome tip, thanks R.
It's a world of difference. Pick up a dehydrator, they are cheap ~ $35 US. Get some seasonings and cure, and your gonna be hooked.
Thanks!
9/10 of the way there, wny not just go all black NATO?
I couldn't possibly. I'd never be able to part with those heavily taped little boxes of joy. They'd find me in the back unscrewing childrens toys and think I was crazy. So, i'd fit right in then. Hmm... You might be onto something.
Don't know any local spots either.
ooh im not sure lol.. maybe for you folks on the other side of the pond? We like real ones.
who has the best sub... machinegun!
I've got 4lbs of top round london broil curing in the fridge ready to go in the dehydrator after I get out of work today.
Anyone else make their own beef jerky? I'm relatively new to the sport, but its turning out really good!
are you sure you're not just hearing the rotor move?
The dial is attached to the movement with dial feet. Little prongs that stick out of the underside of the dial and insert into the movement. Does the watch have a display case back? Watch for movement through it if so.
Freddy coming with the seriously cool photo's again.
TJ, nice and clean looking sir.
Dragging the 177H around my desk at work right now, same as yesterday.
Thank you all for the replies, from a handful of knowledgeable people- I love it.
So, essentially, just pull the damn thing out?
R, i'm just going to send this to you. It's time. It's mechanically sound, but I would love to get it serviced & proper again so I can wear it. I'll need some strap suggestions!
I'll send email to arrange.
When you checked the tabs and they were tight, was the movement still loose and moving around? Can you see it moving around through the display case back?
It sounds like the dial itself may be loose, but that leads me to more questions. How many tabs were there?
This could be a simple repair for your local watchsmith, $20-$30ish.
Pictures may help if you can post some. Movement side.
Sounds like the mvmt is a little loose. Theres a couple of tabs that hold the movement into the case, pop the back and make sure they are tight.
You can see two at the bottom and one at the top in this pic of a SFSO.
Nice shots Freddy.
I was fooling around with rendering something, long story short this came out odd but I liked it enough for wristcheck today.
It's the 177H
The posessed "dead on midnight" 177H that is.
Maybe that first shot was through a filter looking for other-worldly spirits??
Thanks for the thread, hope you enjoyed putting it together as much as I enjoyed reading it.
Congrats on another proper timepiece. Excellent taste, wear it well!
Dude its 007 & watch gossip. It could be the closest thing to RWG's soap opera. Followed closely by "Who wants to be the best sub", "ETA: Investigators Unit", and "Dropshippers!".
R, did it take on damage when it popped off your wrist? I hope not man.
Your photographs are such a treat, really. You get so much more "feel" for what the piece might be like when the detail is captured at that magnitude.
If more people were as cooled out as you, this world would be a better place dude.
Oh, so.. does that complete the collection? Lan doesnt have a watchbox, he has a watch cellar. er.. Watch Room? Watch Gallery? Club?
Meh... Your really not official until you've been banned from TRL at least once.
I cannot believe the two of you survived that hiroshima of a thread unscathed.
