  1. I'm interested as to whether people tend to remove the rolex hologram from their watches? Might seem a dumb, n00b question but I reckon that the owners of the genuine article would normally remove them and keep them with (maybe stick them on?) their original paperwork. I may be making this up as I go along, but it seems the logical thing to do. Don't start me on TRLs!
  2. Can I just say... Yuck. slay is spot on, they look nasty.
  3. He accepted my offer, shipping to the UK is a 7.50 so that's 77.50 total. That makes me happy Now I need to get a tool so I can remove the strap.
  4. Yes, that looks nice. I offered 50, got an automatic decline, I offered 60, got an automatic decline, I offered 70 and the offer was "Sent to the Seller". So I guess I'll find out in a while whether he's accepted it or not.
  5. I actually think it's a fair point. If one has never seen a deployant clasp before it can seem a bit strange working out how to undo it. The little sticky out bits aren't obviously release buttons because once the bracelet is closed they're firm. So don't be quite so harsh on the OP.
  6. I've finally made a decision on this. I've ordered that Cartier Pasha from Narikaa. It's her birthday on Thursday so hopefully it'll be here in time and I reckon she'll like that. I don't know how good a replica it is, but I think it looks nice anyway, no matter how close to gen it is. K.
  7. I'll probably be up for something if we do this, not sure what yet though!
  8. This watch is no more... It has ceased to be *runs*
  9. I see different times on all those pictures....
  10. I would love to see this come to the UK....
  11. I really hate the idea of frozen dials, I would never, ever buy a rep which has them. But I'm not a fan of chronos anyway, so not much chance of me doing that.
  12. It's actually a very nice watch, the green contrasts with the black very well. I think it was a limited edition for an anniversary.
  13. If you send him some money, I reckon it's a good bet
  14. Ahh, thank you. French? Sure is, and my first sub!
  15. Ooo, I found an old stand that I had. Gonna ask a really n00b dumb question now..... What does LV stand for? We need a glossary!
  16. Thanks, Bazz - I've never played around with levels like that before and it makes a lot of difference. As I said - Must get a stand of some kind.
  17. Yeah, I need to get a stand of some kind to hold the tickers as I photograph them.
  18. Faber, 24mm is too big, I think I need 22mm. Good links there, thanks people.
  19. I bought a Big Pilot from Narikaa, great service, quick and very informative in emails. However, although I like the watch, the strap really isn't up to much so I want to replace it. I'd like one of the same style, I assume that the only way to get the existing one off the watch is to cut it off, but what about fitting another one with the rivets, how does that work? Plus, where can I get a replacement leather strap in the same style? I don't want to be paying lots of money for a top of the range, very expensive jobbie but I do need to replace this one. Paying by pp is an absolute essential. Any recommendations?
  20. Grrr, bloody fussy wimmmmin. No joy so far. I think it'll just be a timex from argos the way she's going!
