  1. Can't wait!!!!!! Had to postpone my purchase due to other projects.
  2. This is evolving into a really great thread with valuable info. It is becoming more and more clear which Sub-c has which strong and weak points.... Helping the decision making a lot! Thanks to all the contributors!
  3. Looking good.... Some pretty nifty modifications the Chinese come up with every time.
  4. Indeed. To recap... There is a Noob v1 (currently crazy sale at Toro) Noob v2 (just launched at different TDs) BP (as know and reviewed on the forums) BP updated (old pictures at different TDs and not yet reviewed) Sounds right?
  5. Hour counter brake issue. No other solution than to pull of the dial and hands and replace the brake.
  6. Noob question: I have been browsing TDs website and all have different names for the Sub-C... Ultimate, supreme, best etc. Could someone please post a link to the BP version? Muchas Gracias
  7. Cool... the smaller the part the bigger the machine
  8. wow!...why did I not notice this model before? It's release has not exactly got much attention but it sure looks like a superbe replication. Thanks for sharing!
  9. Thanks iR great info. Does that also apply for the V2 Noob that is just released?
  10. Good question. I know there are also some spacing differences in the "officially certified" on the dial. Would love to know if there already is a thread about these two models somewhere....especially now that the new noob v2 is out. Despite my forum name I unfortunately know little about Rolex replica's.... I'm a generalist and not a specialist. Ideal would be: PROS/CONS for bp model PROS/CONS for noob v1-v2 model
  11. looks great!.... I want it soooo bad!
  12. That particular strap combo is not yet available as replica. The Superocean Abyss is available at all Trusted Dealers on this board in all different colors with a perfect rubber diver strap. Do some reading and then decide. There are already a lot of reviews! Buy the dealer and not the watch
  13. Because it would ruin the looks. The patina look is consistent with the age and production date. Reluming it would be like putting spinners on a classic Mustang ..
  14. Yes, it turns patina. Look up my Omega Seamaster restoration in my section and you can see how lume will look when it ages.
  15. You can burn the varnish when the amount of watt is too high. In apearence the lume will turn, yellow, orange, black.
  16. Great shot... How is your bezel insert holding up? Not fading?....
  17. Not if it already is screwed up.... Some proper grease and reworking the threads with a glass fiber pen does smoothen out the threads a bit, making it easier for them to mesh correctly. But if the material they used for the crown is crap/soft (as the crown is the one that most of the time strips) it is a matter of time before you will have troubles. It is a quality issue...
  18. You are really good informed mate. That was back when I first joined in '06. The 'closed factory 2892' also had the correct HEV position. Really cool you were able to obtain one of these oldies. Not from the 'closed factory' indeed but still the best ever made. I owned one back in the days and still regret selling mine.
  19. Thanks for the link Madmex... Will order one tomorrow. The ceramic seems a bit dull. Could be the lighting?...or else nothing some diamond polish won't take care of
  20. Come on man. Don't rain on his parade. He did not ask for your opinion on wrist size. It is a matter of taste. Most members here can't even pull off a Luminor. So what! If he loves it than that's all that matters! Thanks for sharing
  21. Here is the link BTW: http://www.pamelawatch.com/davidsen-hommage-benrus-military-watch-type-ii-class-a/
