  1. Go for a Benrus from Davidsenjpn..... Reeeeeeeaaaaaly cool for a teenager who loves military stuff.
  2. Yeah, I saw it in real life. 100% engraved. Go for it as it looks perfect. I will be placing my order next week.
  3. You are right K. I also checked some Google pics and most looked printed. Maybe I saw a rep at the AD I seriously believe Omega made a V2 of the bezel that now is engraved. Edit: Lol we posted the same thing at the same time...
  4. Strange. Maybe 2 different versions? Are you sure it was the Seamaster and not the Planet Ocean ceramic? The one I saw today was definitely engraved.
  5. Yes, there are numeral causes that can make a movement speed up. With an old movement dirt and dried up oil is the first thing that comes to mind. A magnetized hair spring is also an option and I can name a dozen other possible causes. @OP: Good luck finding someone to teach you watch mechanics when you disregard or don't appreciate advice given.
  6. I told you why it is running fast. Dirty and dry movements don't slow down. That is a misconception. They speed up! If you think you know all the answers yourself and don't take the advice of members that actually know what they are talking about there really is no point of posting here anymore.
  7. It's 20 years old!!?? The movement is dirty and dry which causes too much friction. If you would not change the oil on your car in 20 years how would it run you reckon? The movement needs a full overhaul and fresh oiling. No short cuts unfortunately. If it is a genuine and you go to an Authorized Dealer it wil cost you a couple of grands.
  8. Saw the gen blue today. Definitely engraved bezel and it sometimes almost looks black. I think the rep looks awfully close! Even the deep rehaut is present on the gen. Maybe I have to order it
  9. Great choise. I love the 111 too! Marlin makes some great specimens Enjoy! BTW... If that strap is OEM I do not like it. Stitching seems really sloppy and the leather dull. Here it is compared to mine hand stitched strap.
  10. The rep dial just looks terrible....
  11. Which version do you have? Black? I' m thinking of buying the blue ceramic... The Noob factory will not release a SMP ceramic anytime soon.
  12. From an investment stand point genuines are always better. Not all gens off course but if you buy certain vintage pieces or limited editions you will have a solid investment and an almost guaranteed return of investment later on.
  13. Most likely the hour hand sitting too low. The canon pinion supports the minute hand. The hour wheel slides over the canon pinion. So either both canon pinion and hour wheel should be taller or they should have made the hands differently. I have seen gen Omega Constellation (hour) hands with sort of a "neck" creating extra spacing because the hour wheel on the cal. 1111 is too low as well.
  14. That hour hand is still asking for trouble. After a hit or bump that baby will scratch up your lovely gloss dial. There is just too little clearence if you ask me. Wonder why they could not manage a normal hand-dial clearence. Checked the H factory CrPo and the new Seamaster and they are all perfectly spaced.
  15. Don't mess with it yourself anymore. You probably will screw it up even more. Shoot MD2020 a PM.... Great guy and watchmaker. He's in the US.
  16. Get the new Omega SMP ceramic. It has none of those issues.
  17. We are back 5 years ago when the first 42mm PO came out... crooked Omega symbol, almost no hand clearance, laser etching ... jeez! I would not touch this with a 10ft pole. The H factory CrPo is 10 times better quality wise.
  18. The same as a 2836. The stud to correct the beat error is probably located underneath the faux bridge arm. So most likely you will only see one regulating stud. That one would be the one to adjust the rate. To acces it properly you probably have to remove the auto wind bridge. But come on.... Help us to help you and post a pic!
  19. People.... The insert will always have fading issues. No matter if it is from Noob or any other factory. Why? Because it is printed and not like the gen forged ceramic (aka liquid metal).
  20. I have an explorer 1 with serviced Asian 2836 movement which i never take off in order to test it's durability. I have been wearing it constantly since 2010...I am a very busy person: Swimming, hard core mountainbiking, jogging, golf etc. Still running strong
