  1. here is his current version of this dial (it is still pretty good): here is yours - first generation: here is gen:
  2. Im sure DSN has a nice gen collection of PAM's... in last 10 years he's sold a few thousand watches, each watch is around $300 on average.. you do the math. on top of this he's sold many parts both for rep and gen collectors. so, back to your suggestion, im sure he knows that his parts have problems but since people buy his stuff anyway there is no emergency to fix the problems. its that simple. people buy his stuff anyway, its all about money at the end.
  3. how do you reprint the text??? please tell.
  4. i'll take that big pilot rep!
  5. Hoping to add some interesting pieces soon. 111H, 183G and 082 (aka Amerigo Vespucci) correct caseback! no longer produced.
  6. jimmy fu case is out of question at this point. what do you polish CQ with? Cape Cod cloth or something else?
  7. here is the result. gen on the right. you be the judge.
  8. does anyone know if the caseback is also gold plated on this 201A?
  9. rolli, i hear that people use copper -->nickel --> gold combination where nickel layer is in between gold and copper layers and serves as an inhibitor of diffusion copper into gold which happens over time. may be this is overkill...as the diffusion process takes very long time..
  10. so standard rep case that is. Does anyone know if the CG needs to be polished before bead blasting/PVD'ing (its brushed on reg rep case) ?
  11. It is DSN's dial.
  12. here is current DSN's 201A dial. logo seems to be slightly bigger and font is slightly different....so close.... Does anyone have more pictures of the gen gold 201A??
  13. is the caseback correct? here are some gen pics:
  14. looks like the case in the bottom (see gen picture below, borrowed from 'risti) would be more accurate for this project. I do not anyone except DSN selling such cases, and it looks like his cases are not very accurate. Do i have any other options then?
  15. you are right. crown aside, does the case look alright? if the crown project started here produces good results i'll have those crowns PVD'd. what should i expect to pay for the case? i've been quoted 120usd by trustytime, this place wants 100$. Are there any cheaper good quality cases out there?
  16. i'm looking for a proper case for PVD 195 and 009 projects. I found this case, does it look like standard rep case that our dealers use(minus the marking on the case back which im not going to use anyway)? Do you think this case can accept gen PVD crown? your help is appreciated, as always.
  17. fishgodeep, do you mind sharing the source of the case?
  18. here is SLOB by rollie good results too: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...979&hl=slob
  19. a seller from china where average person makes 1$/day ?
  20. yes PAMman, you are right i am wrong. Many people on this forum use his parts for their projects, probably because his parts are such cr%p and the projects are sh!tty too.
  21. use search buddy. there is plenty of info here u just need to make an effort to find it. FYI, gen does not have a ring around seconds dial. post pics of your watch.
  22. DSN has no competition on a large AND small scale production. period. look at his pre-V series. If it was not for DSN we would not have some really nice reps... my 82 is one example.
  23. has it been repped already?
