LOL! No surprise there. We all know were a fussy bunch of detailed driven, bargain hunting watch freaks!!! -

LOL! Good work cornerstone!!! -
My wife got me a rep (well, I got it but she paid!) for Christmas (always a busy period, be warned!) last year. Unfortunately the watch was the wrong one when it arrived and I had no option but to send it back and wait for the replacement. I knew this sort of thing could happen so wasn't majorly upset. My wife on the other hand was extremely disappointed she couldn't give me my present on Christmas day. It is quite frankly a pain in the [censored] when this happens, but unfortunately it does happen from time to time and we have to accept it - so long as the dealer accepts responsability.

I'm in business myself (very different business though!) so I know that this is 'sensitive' information and I wouldn't really expect dealers to publicise it too much. I share your opinion Ken (although mine is based on opinion rather than fact) that the dealers probably have a far wider network than many members realise. I reckon we probably generate a good portion of their business but they likely make more with the rest of their dealings put together. Having said that I think that the dealers appreciate the business generated here and they enjoy the forum and the members and certainly appreciate it as more than merely a sales vehicle. -
Hey Guys (dealers & buyers), I was just wondering what % of our dealers' business activities are generated through this forum (and other forums for that matter). I'm curious to find out now that Joshua and Andrew have their websites up and running if RWG constitutes a majority or minority of their revenue. They may of course not wish to divulge that information, and of course I expect that it varies from dealer to dealer. It does seem that Joshua and Andrew have the luxury of being able to set up a commercial website without repercussions, whilst other dealers located in less 'counterfeit tolerant' countries don't. I don't know if this is of interest to others, but I'm curious!

You won't go wrong with Andrew. Incidentally, I for one don't really care if you have 2 or 2000 posts. I've been on here since the start, and on previous and other incarnations for longer, I just don't post all that often but Andrew I will stand up for, he's looked after me above and beyond the call of duty recently. Call it being a god man, or a good businessman (he'll certainly be getting more business from me) doesn't matter - it's a great quality!

Despite that Andrew is still top notch, trusty by name, trusty by nature. He is a true gentleman.

How Do I Make The Bracelet For My Po Smaller?
dcrooz replied to bigmouth's topic in General Discussion
Great info Clive! -
It certainly sounds carefully premeditated. To appear such an absurdly naive newbie must have taken some thoughts. Good luck to you Eddie, hope you deal with this as positively as you seem to be. ps, looking forward to getting my 231 Eddie! Don't worry, lot's of us here will be putting plenty of business your way dude. Diego

So, say for arguments sake that the average price of a rep is $150 we have spent a conbined $292,500 on these watches, and almost $40,000 on shipping the little beauties!!! Given that a lot of people here, myself included have bought most of their rep in the last year or 2 it would be interesting to repeat this in a couple of years time! I haven't added the cost of gens as I couldn't be bothered to count them all and calculate their cost... Either way, that's a lot of money - especially when you think that our dealers operate in other forums, with people who've never been here...

5 for me, and 1 for the wife = 1921

Good luck Chris, hope your problems are surmountable and that you come back soon.

good questions - can we see some pictures of the reps if they're already produced? The pictures posted in the initial post are gens right? -
I'll 2nd that. The 18 carat solid gold FM some one was tryin to organise a group buy for is certainly pornographic - every time I see it my hand heads slowly south.... towards my trousers... searching.... for.... my wallet!!!!!!
-
I'm with Clive, it was a bit naughty at work so I switched them off - hey presto, problem solved! I'm not off for a cycle ride - more beer for me!!!
-
You can simply switch off avatars and signatures in 'my controls'. That is what I had to do some months back as the volume of racy avatars & sigs increased. I do look at RWG at work, and enjoy a quiet look at the forum from time to time. Having pictures of semi, or fully naked women pop up on the screen would have seriously jeopardised that! So I switched them off, and now I miss them but I've still got a job!!! It's a shame as you often associate members with their avatars & sigs and now I can't even remember what mine look like (avatar and sig that is...)!!!

It is actually one of the nicest gold watches I have seen but sadly outside the boundaries of logic for what I'd be willing to fork out for a rep. It is beautiful though, and the more I look..... no..... no..... stop.... -
Hey, I just don't like it!
