Despite Kostas' efforts for me to tighten the back of my 112 and dunk it in the sink/pool/sea I am resisting the temptation!! Although one day I will try it, maybe next summer!!
I'm a business manager for a division of a company that provides real time financial information to financial professionals - and yes, I visit RWG from the office!!
If you want Ghetto, go to these areas (or parts of them anyway) Brixton, Stockwell, Dalston, Shepherds Bush.
For fun, go out around Old Street - on the northern line (underground) or on a few bus routes. Good range of eclectic bars, clubs and restaurants.
The boat trip is great - I'd really recommend it if you had the time.
Enjoy!!
I live in London and get the underground to work in Canary Wharf every day and almost every day I spot a Rolex on some one's wrist. Some days if I'm lucky I'll spot something a bit less 'popular' and that makes my day! I've spotted quite a few PAM's, a couple of VC's, a fair number of IWC's, one beautiful Rose Gold AP and even a few Patek's. The funny thing is that I've caught most of those people having a look at whatever I'm wearing!! Looking at people's wrists has become quite interesting and has led to quite a few conversations with strangers, none of them unpleasant!!!
Contact the dealer immediately. I have received watches with less noticeable flaws in the past from several dealers which have been exchanged immediately. Contact the dealer, send them the picture and see what happens - my guess is that a replacement will be on its way to you shortly...
Kostas, I know what you mean. I announced the birth of my first daughter here in April and received so many warm messages of congratulation it was amazing! I read them all to my wife and she couldn't help but have a little cry!!!! You guys made her cry (and not because of my addiction!!!)!!!!
That is pure class Kostas! I'm feeling very jealous!!!! Although my silix 112 h is holding up pretty well. Was it in the region of £2k? PM if you don't want to publicise, and don't PM if you don't want to tell me!!!!
Agree that knee-capping may not be the most suitable way to sort out this torrid situation which will affect Andrew and his customer base if it is not resolved.
I would appeal to other dealers and the mods/admin of RWG and probably more importantly TRC to try to contact him and appeal to his better nature (if he has one).
I think it's in everyone's interest to sort this out sensibly, most of all for Andrew who will suffer if he can't get PAYPAL up and running again.
Incidentally, I can't believe that an expereinced member, buyer, collector and seller would behave in such a way towards Andrew of all people.
Hi All,
Been seeing quite a few threads about timeliness of Asian movements in PAM's. Well , I decided to put my Asian 112h up against my Asian Rose Gold 231c which is brand new. I wound them both up as much as I could at 4pm on Friday afternoon. It is now 7.30pm on Sunday evening and neither has lost a minute. I'm pretty impressed with 51 hours so far off 1 wind, plus the similarly excellent time-keeping ability of both pieces. just wanted to share with you!
Cheers!
