I once said that I would never wear a Bell & Ross, an IWC, or a Breitling. Guess which one I'm backtracking on? Looking at the IWC watches offered, I realised that it is a marque with innate class. Everything about it screams quality and restraint. I'm intrigued -- the Sophie Marceau photo helped. In short, which IWC model would YOU think would go well with me?

Still, not a bad price as FxrAndy says, but for the fact that the "mosca" (thanks Sssurfer, hehe) or the logo is all wrong, and the printing is quite wonky, right? I also coincidentally see Trevor's stuff being resold a little more often than I'd like, on RWI/Repgeeks. If something is good, you hang on to it, especially at those dead-cheap prices.

Why is every thread on RWG about the VIP upgrade? Why isn't it about sex like it should be?

And for some people, having the exact opposite beliefs than you do, that form your very view of the world, that are the foundation of all your practical beliefs about the way the world will go, ruins that friendship faster than you can say Strom Thurmond Wore Women's Underpants. Politics are a corrosive. They corrode everything around one, ruining the atmosphere forever.

Right, 28 black. I always get the nomenclature wrong! Anyway, this is a funny story. The Florida Panthers once had a bruising defender (and black Canadian from Montreal) called, Peter Worrell. Miss Sports-fanatic over here was listening to a post-game interview one time, and he mentioned he was off to Vegas. Ended the interview with, "Don't forget. Always bet on 28 black". Obviously, his number was 28. And he was black. Won about U$ 1200 in Monte when I let it ride twice on 28 black. Woo, chung-a-lugga! Have fun, babe!

Either you're a lawyer, with a precise attention to the skewing of facts, or you don't want people to think you're secretly Emily.

Never been to Vegas. Everything I know comes from second-hand sources like my parents, or reading Frank Sinatra's biographies BUT... Suggestions You need a workhorse watch. Omega UPO will do. You need a bling-bling watch. Breitling SOSF seems closest. You need an elegant watch. Railmaster. Wear this to Tourneau in the Bellagio. (Correction: Caesars Palace not Bellagio! Thanks to those who didn't correct, except by inference below) Have fun! Always bet on black 28.

A) Where is my personality profile?? B ) I thought about PMing Admin asking about a raffle, but then I realised I am not willing to part with any of my watches YET. However, maybe others are. But also, if you actually pay real moneys towards buying virtual "tickets" for a watch, or similar, it could present problems. This is kinda circumvented at RWI and Repgeeks, because they earn money for posts, which in turn is used during raffles for watches. Thus, it would look very odd and cheap indeed if someone complained a watch they won didn't work, etc. That would not be the case, as much, on a watch we had all paid good money for...but hey, maybe we could all sign a waiver before buying the "ticket", or someone could step up to fix said watch, if something goes wrong. Ideas...ideas...ideas. Just floating it out there.

Uh, are you asking us what you should do to get a fast $1800? Depending on your educational and/or skill level, and/or back strength, and/or time limit: - Taxi driver. - Furniture removal guy. - Set up a beachside "hair cutting" chair, and charge 10 euros per haircut for 2 weekends (maximum 5 minutes per cut). These are all the things I can think of where those pesky French unions won't have your hide, without L'Etat getting you, plus you'll need a minimum of experience to do, earning decent money for all.

Good question. Similar to Kruzer00. I have a triangulation of sources when I set my Panerais (16 and counting). Computer clock synchronised with .gov source. Then I look up to the cable box to confirm, comparing it at the same time to my mobile time. As I set each watch (doesn't take but 5 minutes total for all -- I'm fast), I am looking at all three in rapid succession. Utterly doollally, obviously, but there you are. (Oh, and I wind each PAM 30 times. No more, no less)

Good show. Just checked my email before replying here: "We are testing ur watches now, if all go well, will post them on Tueday. I will contact Aegis. Thx. We do noit always work on weekend, I would say about half/half. Nice weekend." So, he works every other weekend, and is aware at least of your forum ID. I mentioned that because it might form part of your email ID, as it does mine.

Nothing ruins friendships quicker and embitters potential friendships more in the modern Western world than politics. NOTHING. Not religion. Not money. Not sport. Moreover, this test is asinine. Either you come out near the Dalai Lama. Or Pinochet -- proving yet again what my history profs always told me, "consider the source".

Of course! Not just by me, either. I stopped just short of adding you to the "AWOL RWGers" thread I posted, lamenting the presences lost of such worthies as Euno, Ubi, and Rima. Ahh, right, the dreaded going back to school. The tears. The tantrums. The endless forlorn goodbyes in the car, clinging to the jacket not wanting to let go. And the kids are just as bad. NICE! Projects are always fun to follow. It's the one thing which seems to separate a gen WIS from a rep WIS, to the rep WIS' credit. P.S.: We have Youtube capability now!

Aegis, heads up. Got a reply from Jay a few seconds ago: "WHo's Aegis? I havenot got his email yet. Please ask him to resend to me. Really apreciate ur help. Nice weekend." So please email him back! I suppose that goes for a lot of you, so take this as a form of public service announcement, chaps.
-
As an aside, I mentioned Aegis specifically in my payment email to him, but also asked him to PLEASE honour the late late August 31 orders...so who knows, maybe if you guys order today he might allow that too. @Mattheis: Puffy would freak! You can only roll in his posse wearing Jacobs.

Reading that Mattheis posted a photo of that blinged out, leopard Frankenrolex, I decided to Google "Sultan of Brunei Rolex" for my visual reply. To my astonishment, this article was coughed up, about the hard times fallen by German aristocrat, Alexander Graf von Sch

Daytona - Who is andrew? And how do I get in touch?

17 posts in one day?? He's my brother not ex! Admin, if such a thing as making one comment inside a thread be a sticky, this would be it: "UB7 Welcome to the board. You will find that this forum will provide you a wealth of knowledge on the subject of reps. Keep in mind that the information you recieve comes at a cost to some. I refer to the people who own and run this board. After you feel comfortable with the idea of contributing the option of upgrading your membership to VIP status will offer you even more than you currently experience and your financial contribution will go a long way to keeping the board up and running as a very useful resource in the future. Also, you may want to give the search function a workout - I have found it very useful. Come back and post often. Cheers" This is a textbook reply on how to answer these questions. Making it clear how things stand but also -- Gracious. Kindly. Welcoming. Perfection. Raijor, thanks. You're wonderful. George, you too, big thanks. -
Thank you, Prof! It's been un succ

Ken, I have never said this publicly, but my dad is in a bad way: has been for years. Every day I spend with him is a gift I feel I have received directly from God. We don't count Christmasses anymore, or birthdays, or Father's Days, because no matter what the calender says, it's a red-letter day for our family -- together and happy, just as you are now with yours. May you, your wife, and daughter savour each second as I do with my parents. May this Father's Day give you incredible joy. And should you need us for anything, you let us know -- because it's an added blessing to have friends as well as family. Happy Father's Day, Ken and all out there in Oz/New Zealand!

Need some guidance V.Womans watch (Wedding pre-gift)
Victoria replied to DP8's topic in General Discussion
Corgi, I know you posted this for our bridegroom, but can you believe that your elegantly written words were so effective, that you have convinced me to get this watch? I know you're thinking -- yeah, getting Vicky to buy a rep watch is like forcing a linebacker to eat another slice of pizza, but man, that was a powerful write-up in favour of the Conquistador. WOW! Thanks for the tip for all, Corgi. -

AWWW!! There is no woman alive that didn't read what you wrote, dpixel8, and didn't have that exact same reaction. Beautiful! Please read my reply in this recent thread. http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?s=&...st&p=308279 That's got wristies from me, and some great links to previous posts along your lines. I would recommend the Cartier Santos SS. It's an impressive watch out of the box -- sporty, and yet eminently chic. Trusty has Japanese Quartz versions for under $100! http://www.trustytime88.com/index.php?main...amp;cPath=21_72 If that's too "older rich lady" look for your blushing bride, try the Santos' two-tone or even the Demoiselle version. BEST OF LUCK, and mazel tov on your marriage! -

Hey George. Thanks for helping out the n00b (at least by post count). I notice you are as helpful that way, as I used to be, so good on you, if I may say. I'm slacking because I think I'm getting into that mindset that overcomes all veterans eventually: That this board is for hardcore information, and participation, not an information depot where you post a question and leave, having taken the juice from the board's experience without giving anything back. No offence meant to anyone, certainly not to you UB7, because we've all been there! But yes, eventually one does get tired of the "Where can I buy the best Sub" types of questions... I wonder if anyone else notices this transformation in themselves? I'm not pleased with my new attitude, BTW. -
It all depends. He is not like Andrew/Josh who reply seemingly within seconds. In my experience, Jay replies about 1-2 days from emailing him. He doesn't work weekends. I'm guessing he has been swamped these last days of August with these summer special orders, and I'm sure my post didn't "help". So overall, I'd say you'll get a reply on Monday, and he will honour your order. If not, I'll have a word with him. Despite having had a QC issue with my first order from him, he's very affable, tries his best to rectify things, and follows up on emails...eventually.

When I was growing up I didn't appreciate them. Now I laugh for hours. "Oh no! That's my favourite dollar. I raised it from a cent" @Ryyannon: LOL! Pink bed...interesting video, thanks! I am outties, but shall finish it (min. 2:12) when I return. It's got a seedy Regine's look to it.
