  1. No zebra stripes, duh! Silly me. That goes without saying. In the wide open spaces of North America, where 100 miles gets you no where fast, it would be a death trap. But I'm sure Omega looks great in his. I drove it in St. Barths and it was FUN.
  2. Does this olive green gator pass your Village People detector then?
  3. LOVE IT! Very nice. @Uncle Jay: Which PAV is your favourite? @V: Dluddy just reminded me in the Wristchecks about the PAVs. Will shoot them later today!
  4. @Narikaa:
  5. I know it's an hommage of the Egiziano, and for that, I'm grateful there is SOMETHING out there that doesn't cost
  6. Hiya, Screwie, hope you enjoy your stay in the Forum. This is the newbie mantra, but all the info you ask is already available by reading the forum for hours, hitting Search, reading the sub-forums and what-not. This includes PMing in case you're stuck. Of the three watches you solicit opinions of: Omega Speedmaster DayDate White Breitling Chronomat Evolution SS White IWC Spitfire Pilot Chrono (either SpitFire Pilot Chrono SS White or White SpitFire SS Chronograph) Only: Seems professional enough for a suited environment, with as you say, rich people around. The IWC Spitfire Chrono might do, but it depends on your position (I personally think only techie people like Pugwash could get away with that). IMHO, not the BCE. It's too sporty. Once again, welcome to the forum, have a look around, and see what is out there. Like your Zenith enthusiasm, it'll take time to scope out all the combos, but rewarding! P.S.: Okay, I'll throw you a bone. This is the Speedy in white, from Andrew/Trustytime, who I suggest as the newbie go-to-dealer. http://www.trustytime88.com/index.php?main...53c3197050769e1
  7. Never underestimate the importance of "cuteness". It seems an universal truism that whatever is considered beautiful gets an easier time of life -- else the Chinese would eat their canaries.
  8. Mea culpa too, Anton. I roll up the sleeves on my left arm, exposing the watch. I play with my hair (I would anyway, I like fluffing my hair). And I often sit in "pensive mode" -- you know, with fingers on chin like Rodin's statue, or holding a pen near my cheek. P.S.: Oh, speaking of Latin: "Ut sementem feceris, its metes" Semen smells when it meets your face? @Demon: Gen? @Dluddy: Hold that thought! You reminded me I promised V something.
  9. I see. I dine out much more frequently (don't cook), but I'm just like you and choose my watches carefully. Do you get compliments from the wait staff? Freddy GUESS WHAT! At the second Church, seen above, the haul of quality timepieces was VERY IMPRESSIVE. Amongst them, I saw my very first real Daytona, however, with darker registers than yours above. That was after the service was over, and people were milling around the Padre. The first thing that caught my eye was the SS bracelet. Then the tell-tale Daytona dial. It had a glint to it that is hard to explain. The polished finishing was amazing. It certainly didn't look like my cheapie Silix that's for sure. How embarrassing -- I may not wear it anymore! A few pews ahead of me to the right, was a JFK Jr. look-a-like wearing a Breitling BCE. I tried not to look at him throughout the service, but he was one of those Brad Pitt type guys that makes sure his watch hand is always visible. Hope I wasn't like that...
  10. Of course, the naysayers and politically-correct have to put their oar in. "yo dude your site is kinda gay, no offence butthe catrs dont look enough like hitler, i saw one where the cat is in anazi uniform, more of those cuz thats funny, the rest is kinda gay - Evan" It's under "We HATE Kitlers".
  11. But T, don't you think that if you have the money to buy the Egiziano, you aren't the kind to care about exchange rates? This isn't meant for one of us, who count our pennies, yes?
  12. FRIDAY I went to Church TWICE today, for the Passion services, due to the timing of the POTR auctions. Did you think I would use my Fish today? No! The Gucci Twirl in SS, but Fish still makes an appearance. SATURDAY Another duo-Wristie. My mother wearing a very special watch indeed. Won't say which, but keener eyes will know. That's Narikaa's thick Mont Blanc rollerball under the Twirl. Thanks, Reg! SUNDAY The Chopard Happy Sport (Happy Beach) watch on this Easter Sunday. It really makes you smile and feel happy. Happy Easter to all who celebrate it! P.S.: I was in the aisle pew on both occasions, so I was able to check out the clerical and congregants' watches. The first priest wore a plain Timexy-looking watch with black band. The second, well, let's just say, he was more worldly.
  13. I had the same idea, Laz -- but your eggs look better!! Best wristcheck so far.
  14. That's beautiful! Perhaps not your Patek, but very special. I notice you like to kit yourself out with something really classy on Friday nights, Freddy. What's the story?
  15. Miami Beach, FL, USA.
  16. The worry is that a newbie might mention "Donation Rep Forum" or something in the title -- and of course, transaction limits imposed by PP. I have a monthly limit, since I don't have a Premier (just Business one).
  17. Glad to see you're okay, Rob. I left church early I was so concerned about paying for my two items. As I said, I have my funds in the PP, so that's my method. The Money Order idea is a great one for CONUS folks. Not too sure it's that good for foreigners, as they charge exchange rate fees. Could someone comment on this? Take care, and have a truly Happy Easter!!
  18. Yes, my mother has had her Gucci reps retouched with more than 5 mils IIRC. Her local jeweller did it for her. The YG Gucci twirl, and Rolex Sub TT lasted about 3 months. She wore hers daily, and she's not careful. I have YG reps which are mint, because I am. Never ever Cape Cod cloth them, obviously. Not to you Coeuss, but for some newbie reading.
  19. There's yet a third option, but it's not my place to say. Messy is the collection paddles during Sunday Mass. This is great!
  20. Thanks, LR! That still requires a lot of personal info. Having just sent money to DSN this weekend, you'll need his: Full name (First, Middle, Last) Address City Country The agent will ask you for ID, and you'll fill out your information including telephone number accordingly. Then you'll receive the MTCN confirmation number, which the agent will circle for you on your receipt (carbon copies, printout, actual receipt). You'll then have to contact Rob with that, so he can confirm it with the seller. http://www.westernunion.com/info/selectCountry.asp I have funds in my PP account, so I'll do so via there, if at all possible. Good luck people! GO POTR!
  21. Thank you very much for that info. I also would like to thank the Mod who contacted me with another option. But the questions above still remain. In response to questions about Mods being in charge, this is what Two Tone wrote in his main POTR thread. Perhaps it's changed? "At the end of the Auctions, all payments will be made directly to Rob... He in turn will let the seller know when payment is received... Shipping communication should be directly between the Buyer & Seller..." http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?s=&amp...st&p=421056
  22. Could someone please contact him about this thread? I may have an old email addy of his. Compounded to this awkwardness in timing, is that it's Good Friday, and I'll probably be at St. Patrick's church at 3 PM EST (12 PST)...it worries me.
  23. In a few hours, many of the POTR auctions will be closed and payments made. I have not received a reply from Rob in days (which is fine, that's not the point -- he has a lot on his hands), so I'm asking publicly: - Do the owners of the auction items all have the private PP address, to relay it to the winning bidders? a. Transaction limits are of some concern. b. Also of concern is newbies using "rep forum" or similar in the notes area, which would close it down. - Who will confirm these payments to the former owners, if Rob is swamped or can't reply?
  24. Because every forum has its own modus operandi? This is a more technical replica watch forum than the others. It also provides dealer info to all Supporters, and since most newbies' second question is: "Where can I buy this watch you suggest?", it becomes a circular, awkward answer. Questions like, "Where can I buy the [ insert best replica watch model here ]?" are never disregarded, but the replies you get mirror TT's above. Inrila, please read this thread. http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=67545 It starts off with a Fiddy (PAM 127), yes, but look at where it ends. Good luck, PM any time!
