  1. Nice. The The Zigmeister lume makes all the difference, doesn't it? To my eye the crown thickness isn't too far off. The teeth on the crown look a little too blunt, but now we're getting really picky.
  2. I might have an extra Noobmariner overlay lying around. PM me if interested.
  3. If there is enough interest, we can do another single sided run... Double AR seems to be mostly the rage though.
  4. Sweet nasty thumb!
  5. Wow, what an experience. Jealous indeed! Looking forward to movement pics too...
  6. I guess it couldn't hurt to have one of these lying around for a rainy day.... I'll take one.
  7. Agreed. 100%. And I dig it.
  8. OK, well, I'll break the consensus here.... I think it's seriously cool. Yet I wouldn't feel terribly tempted to own a rep of a $98000 watch...
  9. Cool deal. The electric blue dial was never accurately repped. The gen dial is worlds apart from even the closed factory version. Nice everyday watch. Enjoy.
  10. I think that brown strap looks good on the PVD. But, personally, I like lighter straps that contrast with the dark PVD finish and black edge treatment and stitching that matches.
  11. As always, kruzer00 is right on the mark. For a power reserve complication, you really want the gen sopras module or nothing.
  12. Hehehehe, wow, Pugwash is not going to be happy.
  13. Mmmm vintage. Very nice and I'm sure rewarding work there.
  14. All that and they don't mention the most eye catching flaw???? Geez.
  15. Not a problem.
  16. Mine arrived!! Thanks L!
  17. A great choice. Sporty yet classy, and not a Rolex. My personal favorite Omega along with the moon watch. Enjoy!
  18. Dial yes. Hands no. I'll have to disagree with the PP on the Clark hands... I had a pair and threw them in the trash. Not accurate to my eye whatsoever. I've got some gen Tudor hands, and still prefer the regular MBW hands with appropriate lume. IMO, the MBW hands are very good. But if you're still not convinced, buy some other hands and sell me your MBWs.
  19. Yea, in the past I have found that stiff leather straps never really become as soft as the straps I've bought from Greg Stevens or Micah, for example... The quality of the hide is paramount.
  20. Good looking 005! How's the case back ?
  21. They were for other members, and honestly I don't remember who anymore..... Maybe someone will post.
  22. I have done double AR on a few Fiddy crystals, and the results were very good.... Double AR is fantastic on PAMs, accurate or not.
  23. I'll take that bet, and take your money. Go to a Panerai boutique sometime and see for yourself. Single AR on all PAMs I've seen with AR. Flav's 111I - single AR. It's just the PAM way (unfortunately). Also, I agree with the other poster on the inconsistency of hue on PAMs... There could be a number of reasons for this, so it's not really worth speculating. But, as I've always said, and will continue to say... It's not the precise hue of the AR that matters. It's the quality of the coating and the degree to which it does what it's supposed to do.... inhibit reflections! A blue tinted crystal that doesn't reduce reflections like the gen watch isn't interesting to me. A true genuine AR coating will make your crystal disappear, and yes, in some lighting conditions show a slight tint. So please be wary of companies who are providing specific colors for AR. The color of AR is merely a result of a chemical reaction between the coating itself and the substrate to which it is applied - and should not be due to some sort of artificial dye injected by the coater. Genuine watches with AR do not have dyes!!!
  24. It is looking very likely that there will be spillover into another run...
