  1. I think he was whining about the dealers, not about you, The Zigmeister. And I have yet to see any evidence that he's been coerced with a gun to his head to buy their watches. The last time I checked, Timex was cheaper and kept great time.
  2. Hmm, you're right. I guess I needed a closer look.
  3. No AR. But to be honest, I really want to put a single coat of AR on this thing anyhow... AR is addictive!! The 063 that I bought a while ago had already been modded by The Zigmeister with a watchmen cyclops. I left it alone.
  4. @N*** - excellent points. @polynomial - Who decides where and how you spend your money?

  6. What you don't understand - and that's fine - is that the customization/modding is ALL of the fun for some people.
  7. Right. And let's not blur the line between patents and copyrights now!
  8. Ahh... seems so obvious. Thx.
  9. You can't *really* believe that our (the US's) agreements with China should hinge on the outcome of a single patent dispute.... Right? As far as this Hakan person goes, did he really get screwed on 3 patents? Or did he patent something obvious and get upset when everyone else thought of the same thing?
  10. Good stuff!!!
  11. Done and done.
  12. Have I missed pictures of the finished product?
  13. Didn't this happen in a Seinfeld episode? Oh, no, that was a the soup nazi not the rep nazi. Nevermind.
  14. Gen and I don't think the insert is aftermarket. The insert looks 100% gen to me.
  15. Sounds like you will all be receiving them soon. I can't tell you guys how great the wheel looks in my 063. It's amazing what a silly little date wheel can do, but it's like a totally different watch now. Honestly!
  16. Funny, but Swilzerland has nothing on Shitinerand!!
  17. Try moving the pin in the clasp to the tightest setting also. And never buy a Panerai.
  18. Oops, you beat me to it.
  19. Flav do you mean to tell me that you ordered 2 Ferraris from Joshua and all you received was a pair of watches?!?! You had better post this in the misrepresentation forum post haste!!! Seriously though, they look great. I'm curious, is there any detectable AR on those puppies?
  20. Do a search. He has been discussed before. Reports are very positive on this guy.
  21. @cskent69 - I wasn't criticizing you for noticing the A. Heaven knows how anal I myself am about the details... But I just don't think it's noticeable. And not because of the hand stack or the sweeping seconds hand... I'm saying even if you stare at it and a gen side by side without magnification, it's not going to stand out. Oh and by the way, that picture I posted wasn't my watch. It was a gen. Hopefully you didn't see the low bar A in that pic. See? It's deceiving. One thing I would like to be able to fix is the GMT hand. It's far too long. On the PO 45.5, just clip off the tails on the logo that shouldn't be there. Finepics did this first (that I know of) and it looks great. As far as the Jimmy Fu CG goes, it was necessary on mine. I bought my 063 from a board member after they'd been discontinued. and he had replaced the CG with a terrible one that had floppy lever syndrome and was far too thin. I don't know why. But the Jimmy Fu is perfect. And even more than how it looks is how it feels. The lever feels just like a genuine CG lever.
  22. It's cheesecloth basically...........
  23. OK, I have the old skool PAM 063 as well. ETA 2893, Finepics datewheel, watchmen 6mm cyclops, super lumed hands and dial, Palp crown, Jimmy Fu CG. I am aware of the low bar A, but I really have to wonder how it can make you "cring" (sic). The PANERAI print on this dial is fairly small. Nothing like on a 111 dial, for example. Sure, if I really look closely, and compare to a 3x screen shot of the gen, I can see it. But, given the print size, I think were talking about a difference roughly the size of a human hair! Seriously! This modded 63 is easily, by far, my best rep in terms of accuracy. The A doesn't even come close to ruining that. Not by a long shot.
  24. Nice. Question on the strap buckle - is it the Davidsen panerai engraved buckle?
