  1. Different hands on the 16610.... What are they?
  2. Keep in mind that on watches like the Ultimate PO, which already have some sort of AR coat, you will have to strip the existing coat prior to recoating. Typically this is done with an acid wash and is fairly inexpensive... In my case, $75-$100 USD per lot of crystals is what I have seen.
  3. It sounds like a good idea to me, given that you can always have the coating stripped off later if need be.
  4. Jaw dropping!
  5. I like it. Those hands don't strike me as being so bad either...
  6. Put your gen PO with double AR on her instead.
  7. AR coating will actually have slight color shifts from run to run. If we run a batch of crystals today, they'll look ever so slightly different than a batch we run a month from now. In any event, if you've never seen a genuine watch with AR then you probably don't realize how subtle the tint to the coating really is. And the apparent visual color of the coating will change depending on the color temperature of the ambient light under which you're evaluating the tint. There really is no difference in the purple or blue tint. It's actually the same coating unless they're intentionally adding a coloring agent, which isn't the case on high end watch coatings...
  8. Double it is.
  9. Good looking!!! Enjoy the "new" Seawolf! I've got a Ti Seawolf gen dial awaiting a swap also. I'm sending my crystal off for double AR coating, too. Weeee!!
  10. Hehehe, I'm going to go for the gusto and get double AR on my VCO also. Haven't decided on single vs. double for the Ingy yet. Probably double.
  11. For replacing them, yes.... Removing with your thumb(s) works with most I've tried. No, make that all I've tried. My point was that you could remove them without a press, and have a cost-effective press in your hands before the the crystals came back...
  12. Refresh my memory on the new vs. old method.......
  13. You don't need a press to remove most crystals. Nor do you need to be in the US to participate..... You can find economical presses to replace the crystals too.
  14. Last call for this round of AR.... I'll be sending out full instructions this weekend or early next week on payment, shipping, and labeling. We've met our required quote of 20, but can still accommodate more. So, if you want in and are not on the list below, then speak now or hold your peace until next time!!! Current participants: Me - 2 Flav - 5 Shultz - 2 Subzero1 - 6 Lovepanerai - 7
  15. A few people have asked me about this and I don't remember who, thus the post.... I've found VCO endlink screw replacements (the screws that attach the endlinks to the underside of the case). That's the good news. They're part of a $22.40 (plus shipping) OFrei screw assortment. That's the bad news. OFrei part number CS-639MS. The screws that work are 1.5H 1.2x2.0 and the assortment comes with 10 of them. It would actually be ideal if they were 2.1 or 2.2mm, but these seem to be long enough. Don't forget the loctite!
  16. I've received your PM. Don't worry. I'm just waiting to hear that lovepanerai's watches have been received in Canada. Otherwise you're just going to ship your crystal to me early and it will sit here waiting. Patience young grasshopper!!!
  17. Do not open a dispute. If you had spent any time researching before buying, you would have known to expect POLEX between the lugs. Furthermore, you would know that the MBW 16610 (yes the "mystical" MBW) doesn't have a great dial, doesn't have proper date magnification, doesn't have proper date font, doesn't have a hollow midlink bracelet, doesn't have good crown guards, etc. This has been discussed over, and over, and over, and over ad nauseam. So, none of this is a secret. You just didn't do any research, and that isn't George's fault. It is your fault and only your fault.
  18. Polex is how you know you got the right watch!
  19. I received (and subsequently sold) an MBW 16610 in November. It did not have the Noob dial. In any event, I'm fairly certain that a gen dial fits. I was strongly considering one for my TW Best franken, but ultimately decided it didn't provide enough bang for the buck because the Noob dial is just pretty darn good - and even more so after a The Zigmeister lume job.
  20. One problem with LV reps in general is the difficulty in obtaining gen LV inserts.
  21. Yep, you're right. My Rolex overlay only measures 23,14mm which is too small. Oh well.
  22. I saw it on a Breitling Seawolf at an AD a couple weeks ago. It was unmistakable at certain angles. Any watch with industrial quality AR (especially double sided) will have a very slight tint. It's unavoidable.
  23. Warren, if so, let me know. I'm gonna need my Ingy crystal shipped from Rob. Haven't done so yet because I've been waiting for the numbers to come in (which they haven't). We can coordinate to have ours shipped together. So...... I think what we'll do is wait for lovepanerai's watches to arrive in Canada and then have his crystals removed and sent back to the USA. I have one crystal sitting in Canada at the moment, Kruzer has a couple, and then there is a possibility of receiving a few more from elsewhere overseas. So I think we have the numbers, but still need a little patience. It'll be at least another week or so....
  24. Because the dollar is toilet paper!
  25. Clear nail polish.
