Heard from the lens shop today, and they've informed me that the cyclopes are on schedule to ship in 2 weeks. At that time I will be (slowly) making my way down the list of interested parties and sending PMs with payment details.

My impression is that he only needs the overlay.

FYI, I have a Rolex overlay that I'm not using and will send to Lello. I just throw this out there in case you don't want to use your Ingy wheel as the guinea pig. The overlay I have could be ruined and I wouldn't care. (Though it would be nice if it weren't!)

If/when we have enough of a commitment to begin a run (40 crystals is a nice sweet spot), then I will provide an address (my address) to everyone participating. So, woodworking being one of my other hobbies, I've been giving some thought to making a watchmakers bench. Below is a picture of a premade bench available from OFrei. So a few questions: what features are useful, and which are not? What are those things sticking out of the front? Armrests? Finally, what's the standard height of the work surface on these benches? Thanks!!

How do you like the manual wind as a daily wearer? I've always thought the 177H would be my first, but the manual movement might bother me day in and day out. Recently the 86 has caught my eye - automatic, anthracite dial, but a somewhat awkward looking silver sub dial (which I've learned to like).

I've just got to say... "The best" is very subjective and personal. Higher end straps are all using top grain hides and are very well put together. Once you're into the $150ish range, buy the strap YOU like the best because they're all top notch. My $0.02

You couldn't go wrong either way. I'd be glad to take the one you don't take.

I'd add that the currently available MBW 16610 case is nothing to shake a stick at. I could certainly live with it, anyhow.
