  1. You're right!! The lugs and CGs both look bulky. Ruh roh!!!
  2. Just wait for Ubi to take a look, and all will be cleared up. Would be nice to see some better dial shots though.
  3. Good to know for people considering an ultimate po.... Get a bad bezel and good luck!!
  4. It's terrible. Look at the position of the dot between the 8 and 10 in relation to the one between the 10 and 12... In fact the spacing of the dots is all over the map on that one!!! No comparison to this one....
  5. I'm with Ubi... Given the list you're selecting from, I also say go with the ultimate PO.
  6. Gen Roadsters come in two sizes now I do believe. 38mm used to be the only offering, but now there is a larger size as well. I don't think the smaller size was discontinued. I have a 1:1 38mm rep from about 4 years ago when Roadster reps were much better than they are now. It has its flaws even so, but I like it and still wear it once in a blue moon.
  7. Nice watches. And this reminds me.... My V strap should be here any minute now too!!!
  8. I agree that it's somewhat foolish to fall hook, line and sinker for Angus' shtick. Fool me once...... bah, nevermind.
  9. Yea. If this thing got repped, I'd want them to IMPROVE the date font, not match it!
  10. One thing I will say is that the dial (to me) is so formal but then they sort of ruin it with that crappy date font.... They should have developed a classy typeface for the date numerals.
  11. Sweet. So where is the wrist shot?
  12. Did you finally give in and get a 45mm beast for your tree trunks, I mean wrists?!?
  13. 38mm across by 48(!)mm lug to lug. 12mm thick. El Primero movement. Guilloche dial.... I like it. Alot. Thoughts? No Oris arguments, please.
  14. My A serial sub will get 3 more consecutive days of wrist time....
  15. Mark, let the holidays pass. Many people are certainly on vacation and not checking in on datewheel status just yet. For those of you NOT on vacation - honor your commitment and PAY UP !
  16. Unless these things are overtightened (and smashing the O-ring) duct tape will work. No clue what will be involved in fixing it though. Each problem is unique. But whenever I have to crack open casebacks to debug a problem, I stop debugging as soon as the solution is non-obvious. One time I had a 2836 just seize up on me and the winding stem wouldn't budge. I cracked open the case and saw that a screw had come out and lodged itself between two moving parts. It was a simple task to extract the screw with tweezers and put it back in place. But, like I say, if it hadn't been an obvious fix, then off to The Zigmeister it would have gone.
  17. Very cool and thanks for sharing. This is one of those watches that cause car accidents because the driver is staring at his watch instead of keeping his eye on the road!!!
  18. Got some duct tape? That's my PAM caseback tool.
  19. Oooohhh.... Looking forward to the sale!!
  20. Wait a second. You expected a used watch that you purchased here on RWG to be accurate more than two times a day?! Heh. Just kidding. These things happen. I have to wonder, though, if the original seller was aware of this and failed to disclose it. Seems difficult not to notice given the severity. Perhaps you could work out an arrangement where you split The Zigmeister's repair fee 50/50 with the seller? Once it passes through The Zigmeister's bench, you'll have a watch that will be serviceable for years to come.
  21. I've been waiting for an Anthracite PAM.... I'm betting rev 3 or 4 of this will be worth buying. Good news, still!
  22. Oooohhhhh spring break!!! Tempting.
  23. What happened? Did you ask a stupid question?
  24. Define "finished". Hehehe. V1 is done, and I'm wearing it. I don't like the hands - they're generic tudor hands with the TWB seconds hand. My gen tudor hands guy is the biggest flake known to man so who knows when they'll materialize. And, I'm also thinking of getting a gen "T - <25" dial and a 93150 (I think that'd be the right one?) bracelet with HELs and turning it into a early/mid 90's vintage. We'll see. And then, of course, this other part of me is telling me to shut down rep expenditures for a while and save up for a gen red 1680 from my birth year. But that's neither here nor there.
