  1. High beat hands will work too. Subdial hands need to be broached and the center seconds hand needs to be slightly pinched. Or maybe it's the other way around, but The Zigmeister does it often. And god bless him because it can't be easy.
  2. I love these franken POs... This one looks great on your wrist, too. Congrats!
  3. Thanks for the report, RG. Very good to know!
  4. The V2 dial swap is 1:1. Confirmed with a digital micrometer and my own two eyes and hands. You heard it here. It's the V1 that was problematic.
  5. LOL... Yeah, whatcha wanna bet it's darn near close to 3 8's.
  6. Nice. It's the first I've seen that new DSN dial and I'd say it is a marked improvement! That movement also looks very good. This will be a great piece when you finish it up!
  7. It looks like what I'd imagine the main bearings in a '67 Stingray would look like if they hadn't changed the motor oil since .... '67 !
  8. Yea, unfortunately "no scratches to the naked eye" doesn't mean "no scratches". Don't trust someone else to determine for you what is acceptable. But, it sounds like it doesn't bother you much anyhow and it probably cost less than a new one would have. So, in the end, it worked out fine.
  9. Wow... The level of accuracy we are achieving now is incredible!
  10. Love it! The hands paint makes a big difference in addition to the lume (of course).
  11. And you saw a picture of the unscratched dial on Ebay before buying? I wouldn't trust a random seller's "personal inspection" and without pics of the actual item for sale, it's just going to come down to your word vs theirs. They will say it had no scratches, you will say it arrived scratched. But if there is no photo evidence either way, you lose. Be careful out there! Sometimes you have to learn the hard way, I guess.
  12. OK, hmmm... Will go back and take a second look then. Thanks, RG!
  13. Hello, Is the A7750 stem expected to work when used in the ETA 7750? Thanks. Chief
  14. Ditto above. If it is not the springbar deal, then the threads aren't catching. Use a pair of tweezers to help pull the screw outward as you unscrew it.
  15. Thanks, trailboss, for setting this up.
  16. I like big cans but in my old age have most definitely come to appreciate the finer things in life such as tight round asses and firm tummies..... Anyhow the reverting back to the old avatar is most definitely change we can believe in!
  17. Yours is more valuable.
  18. Not quite an even trade IMHO, assuming both have papers, etc. If the scratches can be cape codded out, most certainly do so too.
  19. What we have here is a perfect illustration as to why the admin job tends to be so thankless. Damned if you do, damned if you don't: Jakub rips off members to the tune of thousands, and "the admins didn't do enough to prevent it." But when warranted caution is taken in the future, then the admin team questioned and nearly second guessed.
  20. Yikes... isn't yours a gen Ingy? You're only supposed to galavant around on forbidden back-country escapades when wearing reps!
  21. The MK XV was said to not have AR... The 3717 crystal, though, looks like the usual rep AR I always see on them.
  22. If The Zigmeister is "infamous", as you say, then one would have to wonder why you're interested in getting in touch with him. And those of us who consider him a top notch member of the community probably aren't going to be of much help to you. PS, Maybe this is a language barrier??
