  1. Ah well those end links are much crisper than my noob end links.... See below.
  2. Very nice sub! Great CG work. I need a WM9 bracelet. Those end links are to die for.
  3. Yea group buys and/or projects rarely go as planned but IME those involved always understand when delays, added cost, and other unexpected obstacles present themselves. As for the double AR 6mm chieftang cyclops project... At the current pricing I'm not going to break even once sold out. But what are you going to do.
  4. That lume job is really something... Great pics of a gorgeous watch. Enjoy!
  5. I'd strongly suspect this is a long term non-issue, and probably just minor nuisance short term at best. Even if it were a serious, concentrated effor it'd be like playing whack-a-mole. If you could knock down all the GZ retailers (extremely unlikely in the first place), they'd just pop up somewhere else. A never-ending battle, and one China really has no interest in winning.
  6. Don't worry about the L being centered or not. Different 1680 dials have it both ways. I've seen both on gens. I think this one could be gen.
  7. Nice, Vac... What's the DW mod that you're going to do?
  8. Yes indeed. I've been saving my pennies for the Horotec press, but am using the same lever press as Demon in the meantime. With all the but the thinnest and most fragile crystals, I always do the same thing suggested by avitt. Press and rotate, press and rotate. With the thin/fragile ones, though, I don't want to apply any uneven pressure so I try very hard to get them in evenly with a single press. The Horotec I've had my eye on has delrin dies but has brass threaded inserts in the middle. I think this is the best of both worlds as it should prevent the lateral movement that often causes uneven insertion on the lower end presses, as well as providing the delrin/nylon edge that is easier on AR than aluminum. @avitt, have you pressed AR crystals in using the Bergeon aluminum dies directly on the crystal surface?
  9. I don't think you could build a D any cheaper than you could buy one at this price.
  10. D serial is considered vintage now? Hey maybe anything without rehaut engraving should be considered vintage to keep prices up!
  11. Amen to that!!!
  12. Seems hard to justify 1600 for a case but, hey, to each his own.
  13. They should rethink the baton dial decision.... I mean with the metal surrounds they could actually get the lume dots right on those!
  14. That's vintage baby!
  15. Big Dave can shed some light.
  16. The pain of making some Americans peel the potatoes and clean the toilets? What's so bad about that? Even those on welfare have the ability to produce something useful for society, whether it be bagging groceries or shining shoes... all preferable to collecting checks from the government. The simple fact of the matter is that capitalism rewards people for reaching their potential, while socialism rewards people for sitting on their bums.
  17. Yea, I think a "fire engine" red would really do it justice.
  18. Wow that is gorgeous! Neat project, RG!!
  19. Yep... Exactly the same here. I've emailed him again requesting he upgrade to support the forum.
  20. Guys I emailed the owner to buy this one as I've been waiting for one to come up... I hadn't even realized what section of the forum it was posted in and will wait to remit payment until an upgrade to member status is performed. -Chief
  21. Great stuff. Francisco, I wonder if you can comment on this issue I have seen with the A7750 (one of a few reasons I've always swapped out to ETA 7750s).... The hour totalizer moves past the hour mark well before the minute totalizer has gone around 30 minutes two times. In other words, somewhere around the 40 to 45 minute mark, the hour totalizer is already showing 1 hour of elapsed time.
  22. So there is no Rolex holder for the 3135 when used inside the 16610? If it's a direct fit, then you're set! I hope you get it.
  23. Wow! Now we need a stilty 3135 -> 2892 holder for 16613 cases!! Good luck on the bidding. I think you're right that the eventual price will be sky high.
  24. 0bama has now nominated a total of 5 tax dodgers. Count 'em.... FIVE! So let's think for just a minute now exactly how this would have been handled by the media if that other guy, McCain, was the one in the white house making these picks. Do you think for one second that he'd be getting a complete and total pass from the media on the nominations of all these crooks?? It's unreal.
  25. Wow, quite an introduction. It's like . . . . you belong here! Welcome aboard.
