  1. I don't really see the need to spend 18K. I treat my MBW ROO as if it were a gen and wear it proudly. The running seconds at 9 on mine has long since become a non-issue, because the build quailty is so very close. My favorite watch is believe it or not the Rolex Explorer I with Asian mov't. It is an exact rep for $90-$108.
  2. Who knew? Except for not answering the phones I thought they were an OK company. I think they sell quality watches, especially for the money. http://search.bbb.org/ViewReport.aspx?lnk=...45&bbb=0633 Updated: 06/21/2008 06:07:23
  3. I like them all, but I am surprised to see a gap at the bracelet/head on the Sub on a quality MBW. No such gap with my TT version from Josh. The more I wear my TT, the more pointless it becomes for me to consider a gen. Well, that and the fact I still live in a shack. I would like to sell reps as a way to get myelf into better finances, but am unsure of how to go about getting the right China connection. I live similar to this. Not quite as bad. Just in case one of you may take pity on me and offer a connection. http://www.arrl.org/contests/soapbox/large/9642.jpg
  4. I think he was being funny, no? So much glare you could not even see the dial.
  5. I would notify CQOUT anyway. They could at least make an inquiry and possible prompt LV to do right by you.. About a year ago I bought a Sub from LV. It was a POS. Do a credit card charge back.
  6. Did you try reporting what happened to CQout? They may have enforcement like eBay and PayPal.
  7. No one seems to bring up the point of taxes and taxation in regards to importation. The purchase of a rep is a private transaction between the buyer and seller. Any attempt by the government to exract a tax is theft, thereby leaving us honorbound to circumvent the "law". What does my wanting a new rep have to do with the government? Remember folks. There is a law for everything, A conspiracy, if you will, for the governments to make money.
  8. Had they made it I'm sure it would have been a big seller.
  9. Of course Customs can do what they want. Because none of us is willing to fight for our cause. Lets all take a page from Al-Qeda and if a Customs official stops us wearing a rep, we just blow ourselves up right then and there. That will put a stop to this non-sense.
  10. One went for $70,000 Panerai 5218-202A Pre Vendom Marina Militare PVD Base Model, LNIB: $70,000 SOLD http://www.watches24seven.com/gallery2/mai...;g2_itemId=9168 Updated: 06/12/2008 04:47:09
  11. I have two. It really is an awesome watch. The size does not bother me at all. The one I bought from Josh is not exactly the same as the one I bought from Paneraifreak. The numerals on the Josh version are a bit thinner and whiter as opposed to the more mother of pearl on the Paneraifreak. I would say that Josh has the better version as the printing is crisper.
  12. The rep case does not appear scuffed up enough. I don't understand that look though. Why would one want a 50K watch that looks like it was accidentally ran through with the laundry?
  13. This is the leather strap. INVICTA IS3900 LEATHER REPLACEMENT STRAP FOR CORDUBA'S http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...e=STRK:MEWA:VRI
  14. I have this one. I like the Gold Bezel. I put on an Invicta leather strap that meets it at both the lugs and case rather than just the case. I paid $145 plus $50 for the strap. Heavy and solid build, you can't go wrong for $100.
  15. They look just fine to me. However I've been told I don't have an eye for details.
  16. I'll report it. There is never any harm in reporting. Either you prevent a scam or [censored] off a rich person. Win/win.
  17. Anyone that wears two watches at one time is a dork. If that's not "Hey, look at me, I don't know what is." Especially when everyone is already looking at you.
  18. Oh, don't worry. GF/Family have their hobbies too I am sure. I continue to buy even though I know that each and every purchase brings me just that much closer to death. You can't concern yourself with what other people think. Take George W. Bush for example, he could give a rats a$$ what any of us think, and goes about his business of destroying a country. If anyone questions you about your spending, just tell them that you're a psychopath.
  19. For me it's the cash. Despite my master level chess playing ability, I only have one student. I can't live on what I earn and a more mature person in my condition would not have even purchased one rep. I bought twelve so far. I suspect LifterCatcher would be my nemesis. It's how I survive. If Rolex were to make a Shackdweller, they would name an edition after me.
  20. I think the point here is, is to kill all your enemies before they drive you insane.
  21. Never kill yourself without first killing the person that did you harm. The purest form of justice.
  22. Had you simply executed them right then and there you would have gone down in history.
  23. I have referred to the Explorer I on my wrist as a Rolex, and did it once again when picking it up from repair. Even I at times think of it as genuine without thinking.
  24. After five years of unemployment I can finally add myself to this list. I teach Chess. I am a USCF Certified Master and just booked my first student. I hope I get more clients, because if Rolex ever sells a Shackdweller, they will be able to name an edition after me.
