The SA comes in 2 flavors, the Arabic numerals and, new for '08, the stick markers/batons dial. Both are available concurrently. Also, within the last few weeks or so, the white dial rep SA has been updated to match the correct bright white dial of the gen. The lume blobs are still terrible though. I know this watch well, and yes CK, they do fvcking rock...hard. These are mine:

Whoa, easy there with the cursing tough guy. It loses emphasis when you have diarrhea of the mouth, platinum payer guy. Yeah, I think it is a problem when you get accustomed to having an auto-respond e-mail and tracking within a day or two from the other dealers who are on top of their business. When you get neglected for days or weeks after you have already paid... you feel like there is some bad customer service going on. I can understand someone venting, and I relate. It sucks.

I'd like to see the carbon fiber. All of the dealer pics look black, except one pic that Angus has that shows a hint of the weave.

One time a Silix purchase took 1 month to arrive. He gave me no tracking number and just sent it regular airmail when I paid for EMS. 6 days for a response from Angus is tolerable, if the watch arrives a week later. Definitely Josh ships and replies to e-mails the fastest.

Interesting. Watches seem to come in good and bad batches. I just sold a new UBCE w/ updated font, because it wasn't as gen-like as my Skyland V1 when I compared the two. I had the exact opposite experience between them also. The bezel and AR were better on the Skyland i received.

Hope they get the lume dots centered. With all the rest looking so good, that will make or break it. I have the V1 already and the lume dots look great, albeit not entirely correct.

I doubt it is a once off thing. They are using the new date wheels on the Skyland and New Super Avenger.

Priced high, but so is the AP secs @ 12 and that didn't stop people. But the AP moniker is maybe more coveted then Concord, so the C1 sales may not be as brisk. It's all about the Rose Gold for me though.

Both have flaws or "tells", so don't think that one is more perfect than the other. The question is really what dial and bracelet do you like better. The brushed steel or the polished steel, the black dial big date or the various BCE incarnations. Select carefully to make sure you do get the updated date font on the BCE, if that's what you end up choosing.

I think that the exclusivity is what dealers want (or don't want). The EOD which was exclusive to one, is now brought out by others. The Skyland is exclusive right now and has to be brought out by another dealer to tap in on the sales while it is hot. Whoever gets to market first makes the bread during the initial buzz. Those that are slow to arrive get the crumbs.
