Sure you can buy gens insted of res, but lets talk price. A AP ROO cost 20k$ and realy is just a steel case whit a chrono movment the rep cost 600$ and is great in terms of quality and function. So if you can live life whit 800$ gens then go head if that makes you happy then that is what matters.. Cheers

No i woud not. I enjoy the reps all mine are swiss movment so they can last forever as almost all watchmakers can fix them and their is maybe 10 people in my country that can spot their flaws when handling them in their hands Also i already own one of my grail watches JLC EWA Rossi and my beater the Emergency is great for everyday use.. But i can easy understand why some woud sell their reps to get their all time fav gens.. Cheers

I don't see ap bands as a option but yes those 2 is about it. The carbon strap is also great from oracle i use that on mine but also the rubber is great. The adapters shoud work on all straps, i have yet to try it but i can't see why they shoud not. Cheers
