I always wear the same watch at work (my gen speedy) so my weekday wrist checks have become boring. However, I've decided to change when I come home in the evenings and give some of my lesser worn watches some wrist time. Today I've changed into my SMP (which is a bit scratched after a bezel changing debacle after this old photo was taken.) Tomorrow I think I'll give my LV sub a bit of wrist time.

There was a thread a while ago about these. From memory there are some differences to the classic one we all love (and most of us own). The biggest difference I remember was the bezel engravings didn't appear as sharp. Your best bet would be to find the old thread.

We already have gen discussions here in the brand forums. You only have to look in the wristcheck threads to see how many gen owners we have here. On a rep board we can have this mix of gen and rep conversations but it is not something to be tried on the gen boards. Personally I don't read TZ anymore because the software is bloody awful.

Some reps are close to gen quality but a gen will always be a gen. My gen speedy doesn't have any of the nagging small issues of my reps (and some are very small but they are still there). I think that is the difference, you don't have to compromise on the gen.
