Hi guys, I'm planning a trip to Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City soon and would like to checkout some aftermarket Rolex vintage parts/watch shops to source a couple of parts and also to keep an open eye. There is not much information about these aftermarket Rolex watch shops, since they are enlisted as fakes. But I would still like to see them in person, and perhaps get a franken or two project to start with. I tried to google as much keywords, but mostly leading me to only MQ's, Phongs (US), NDtrading (US), and another site running by Phong's son. So far, i've only managed to attain Minh Quy's address through his websites, but I also heard about others like dung_chrono on eBay who has a physical shop according to the VRF that called him out, and another Tony Watches? I messaged dung_chrono but he sad due to eBay's sensitivity to trade outside the web's perimeter, he isn't willing to disclose his location. I would appreciate if anyone has any information as to where I can find dung_chrono's shop, Tony's and perhaps some other I should also look at. Thank you M

Its good, get the blue dial. The black, silver and grey dial are not updated, only the printing markers and case / bracelet is updated to V2J spec.

I dont think this version actually exist in the gen world, correct me if im wrong but the screw down pushers with this dial colour only exist with the RCO daytona no?

Looks like he bought a gen daytona? Havent seen this model in the rep world before.

Just in case anyone needs this information, as ive been trying to dig out and reference as much gen daytona photos i've observed: 6241, 6262 Paul Newman Pump Pushers goes with 271 end links and 7835 bracelet 6263 Paul Newman Screw Pushers goes with 371 end links and 7835 bracelet 6263, 6239, 6265 Big Red, regular daytona goes with 571 end links and 78350 bracelet According to my friend who is a second hand gen watch dealer in Asia who has traded more than a dozen Paul Newman daytona's in the past decades, told me that some earlier Paul Newman's dial, case, endlinks and bracelet might had been replaced (upgraded) by Rolex when the watch is sent in for service. Some non oyster case daytonas will get a complimentary upgrade, and some earlier 271 and 7835 endlinks and bracelet set will be upgraded to later 571 and 78350.

Ive strolled the entire MBK mall, they have some really poor reps for sale. You can ask whether they have the better stuff, but its all hidden elsewhere in another warehouse since they are high value items. Its not a great way to deal, so I dont recommended shopping there. Better off buying online.

I had a gen rubber strap but didnt fit the Noob V4 very well, maybe I bought the earlier V4 which they have not updated the case. Gen strap doesnt go with JF, you wont be able to fit them in directly. Not sure what modifications one will need to do. The difference between gen and rep rubber is tremendous, the gen rubber will get glossier and the grain effects will become more prominent after some wear. The rep rubber remains rough and matte with little grain. The gen also has a deep black colour compared to rep rubber.
