  1. Thank God he doesn't know what a Noobmariner is yet. "Pointing at a gen $4,500 SS Sub, going that one, the Noobmariner!"
  2. drink and drive or go into an AD thinking they know what they are talking about. I have a good friend who is getting into watches. He had me get him a double AR Ingy which if he doesn't pay for soon is going to become my property. This idiot goes into an AD last night and looks at the PO's then asks which one is the "ultimate" version. Of course they looked at him like he had a second nose on his face and probably discreetly alerted security to stand behind him. He proceeds to argue with the young lady that his friend has the ULTIMATE PLANET OCEAN! Some people with a little knowledge are dangerous.
  3. For me it's my MBW (yeah I know MBK is pc nowadays) PP Nautilus Jumbo. This is the one watch I NEVER wear to work because I scratch all my SS bracelets on my desk. This after all is a rep that has been repped. I know people say the dial is incorrect in the MBK version but who knows? A lot of strange things went on in the 70's and people with serious money get what they want so who's to say that dial is indeed incorrect? When it goes in for servicing I'm going to have the seconds hand removed. I own the Genta Four as I call them, the Nautilus, RO, Ingy and VCO, and they get worn on special occasions. It took me a long time to acquire all 4. My ZPO will more than likely exceed ALL of them. What is a ZPO? The Zigmeister Planet Ocean. My UPO has ALL gen parts except for the bezel, movement and case. Even the bracelet is gen. I have $1,500 invested in it which is absurd, but for the price of a new 45mm PO, I had The Zigmeister build a franken PO and I got a gen Electric Blue. I have yet to wear it but when I do there will be a 10 foot buffer around me at all times.
  4. Thinking about getting a Tag Link, the Senna version to be exact. Does the DW need to be changed out with a ETA 7750 DW? Does lello source those?
  5. Make that 1 of 3 ways. I would start with the pin.
  6. You can go 1 of 2 ways. Go to ofrei.com and type omega bracelet in the search then start looking through the gen clasps, or find a member that has a extra bracelet for sale. You can try some of the dealers but they don't usually source parts.
  7. What time should I be ready? Will jetmid be sending the private jet to pick us up???
  8. Very nice watches and a great pic. I'm working on my pic taking skills....
  9. I highly recommend you make an appointment with The Zigmeister and also get a full service done to it. The DW may only be the start of bigger problems.
  10. Who do I have to pay off to get into your family??? I mean after all we are both nobleman you and I.
  11. Uh oh, will I be able to get a TWP 112H? On SS of course.
  12. I used to wear the ESQ's quite a bit before I discovered the Genta Four. I still love them, they are comfortable and I wear them whenever I can. My AD keeps calling me saying he hasn't seen me in quite some time.
  13. Nice! I should hold the Ducati so you don't fall and break your new watch.
  14. Yeah I'm looking for something else for the JLC. I tried the strap on a few watches and thought it blended in well with the Cellini.
  15. LOL!! Believe it or not, my Dad's nickname for me is prof, short for professor because when I was a little boy I had those ugly glasses that make you look like a nerd. In the service we called them birth control glasses.
  16. BT and TT, I'm humbled by the kind words. I've gotten this far in this hobby because of you gentleman. I acquired the Electric Blue after reading the tutorial by you By-Tor. Once I realized how difficult the "closed factory" version was to get, I ended up getting the gen from jomashop. It's a fantastic watch and I love wearing it but the ZPO means more to me because I know the story behind the watch. Sourcing the parts from Bob, waiting as the parts came in bit by bit, sending it off to The Zigmeister, then waiting for her to come back home. The Electric Blue was point, click, pay with credit card and here it is.
  17. This is my current collection taken with my wife's point and shoot. I have a new Olympus SLR but I'll need an engineering degree before I master it. These are my starters, the Movado and ESQ on the end and the Electric Blue are the only gens on my first string. The first 4, the PP Nautilus, AP RO, VCO and IWC Ingy are brothers since they all have the same father. These are my bench warmers, a mixture of gens and reps. These are my leathers, it dawned on me that I prefer brown straps. Finally, my ZPO (The Zigmeisterzumba Planet Ocean) I just got back today. Everything is gen except the case and movement. The bezel is not misaligned, I just can't take decent pictures. I will be reading the tutorials by Pugwash.
  18. LOL!!!! Too funny, but sadly true.
  19. I'm assuming you checked the package for it? I have 2 of them, one is a beater that my watchsmith had to "hack" up the bracelet because the damn screws were so tight. The other is the double AR version and when I got I found that most of the screws had backed out but at least didn't fall out. Good luck, it's a comfortable watch once you get past the bracelet issues.
  20. He is not accepting new appointments until 1/15/08. At that time his PM will open again and HE will give you his contact information. Sorry but that is his preference and we honor it.
  21. I am not ashamed to admit I am confused...
  22. Well if that is the case then I'm 20 also!
  23. That must be the pictures. He just got the watch and only wore it to take pics. As far as I know it has not been outside and probably won't be.
  24. If you want to buy from a member, Stephane has a PP Nautilus BRAND NEW for sale. For the other watch, get with TTK who is a dealer.
  25. You could try these folks, but the UPO pearl is part of the bezel not the insert. That still confuses me... http://cgi.ebay.com/BEZEL-INSERT-ORANGE-FO...3QQcmdZViewItem
