At some point I plan to have The Zigmeister service all my watches. The man is simply incredible.

Did anyone ever sell one of these? I bought this one from a member, it is black/orange, 45mm, has the serial no. on the lugs but I don't think the bezel is made like the UPO we know. The pearl is missing so I can see behind the insert and it looks like the pearl would be part of the insert not the bezel. The movement is stamped 2836-2 but it could be a chinese copy for all I know. I remember The Zigmeister discussing that a little while back. The watch however keeps good time and has the normal flaws, the feet on the logo and the date window doesn't seem "correct". Also the font seems to differ from my UPO.

How many years have passed since pic #1 and the last pic? It appears to be the same house even though the garage doors have been painted the down spout removed.

I understand what Stephane is saying. I have a black/orange 45 mm PO that for some reason has great lume. It's not a UPO but when I go outside at work, I find it hard to really tell the time because it glows so hard. Not to mention the attention it attracts when I get in the elevator.

IMHO, nothing glows into the night like a Luminox, but then again they really can't be classified as lume. I may be wrong but all lume lasts about the same, but differs in brightness.

I can't say but I have the same exact watch on it's way from TTK, but mines is SS and has a leather Jacky Icxx strap.

The current UPO CAN accept the gen tube and crown, you just have to know what you are doing. If they make the UPO any better it'll be a gen. Outside of the stripping problem and the logo feet, the only other thing is the bezel/insert construction which is nothing like the gen but is pretty spot on.

In my mind, if you can't size your pics correctly, chances are your merchandise will be equally as bad.

They stole your watch? I always put my watch in my shoe when going through the TSA drama.

Yup that's it. It doesn't get anymore wrist time but I'll never part with it. A few of my buddies have the same watch and we are all veterans of the USAF.

The same thing happened to me. I was away for 2 years and while the watches have improved, so have the prices. Welcome back though, you'll be amazed by the quality now.

I just got one in the mail today from Angus (Pure Time) for a friend who doesn't frequent the forums. I have the VC Overseas with double AR from Jay and it BLOWS the Ingy away. With them side by side it makes me wonder if the Ingy is really just single sided. It feels "sticky" on the crystal so if it is single sided it's on the outside. Unfortunately I do not have a camera for pics. Also the DW has to be replaced for sure but my buddy won't care about that.

Silix sells a couple with double AR, but your best bet is to do a AR run with either chieftang or k2222.

While I am by no means a watchsmith, I do spend a lot of time "fiddling" with my watches to include cleaning them, changing straps and just lovingly looking at them gleaming in the watch case.
