  1. LOL! So true.
  2. I would to this. Have him set the time on the watch to 3:15, then take the same EXACT shot as the close up. We want to see the word "geneve". Also the date window does not look beveled to me. It's harder to tell on the black face Overseas but it should be beveled. If he balks then you may of bought the 1st gen VC Overseas rep. The 2nd gen has the beveled date window and you can get the 2nd gen with double AR. This watch doesn't look like it has AR. Both generations have "geneve" incorrect, there should be a ` over one of the "e" 's.
  3. Because this time we'll go for real.
  4. I may be mistaken but I don't think Jim Lovell ever landed on the moon. He was on Apollo 8 and Apollo 13 which was aborted during the mission. Actually none of these watches ever "landed" on the moon. It was a pretty convincing movie set though....
  5. Outstanding looking watch with some GREAT mods! Wait till Stephane sees this one. The Zigmeister what more can we say?
  6. You bought this watch? From fleabay or from this Time of Switzerland? The VC Overseas goes for around $7,000. No way you're getting a 7k watch for 1,200.
  7. Ghost Rider, we have an unknown aircraft. Vector 090 for bogey. - Who's up there? - Cougar, Merlin, Maverick and Goose. Great. Maverick and Goose. A real mans movie!
  8. I had a dream once...and in it TTK said "no watch for you!!!" It turned out to be a nightmare.
  9. This is the key and I bet that is why the shot is "fuzzy"
  10. Just got mines this morning, I agree with jfreeman, the AR is spot on and fortunately the bracelet fit me exactly with no sizing needed. Mine doesn't have any gaps either.
  11. LOL!!!!!
  12. Dude it looks like a clock on your wrist! Very nice!
  13. I recently bought a VC Overseas from a wonderful member. This VC did not have the AR and since his wrists are smaller than mine, links had to be added. Well nothing is worse than the screws in the bracelet of a VC Overseas. Once I "chewed" up all the screws I took it to my local watchsmith who will work on my reps because we have a long history together. We ended up doing a total hack job to the bracelet, it has a combination of screws and pins and none of the screws will ever come out so unless your wrists are the same size as mine the watch would never do you any good. No problem I say, I wear it as a daily beater and it is VERY comfortable. Since I could not obtain another bracelet, I decided to get the Silix version with double AR. I was prepared for the bracelet, I bought new screwdrivers and a few cans of WD-40. I was prepared to submerge this thing in WD-40 for days if necessary, anything to loosen up the screws. Well the watch arrived this morning, I take it out of the package and BAM!!!! The AR is so blue and SO beautiful! I'm admiring this thing for so long that I didn't even notice that when I slipped it on my wrist....it fit PERFECTLY! Comparing it side by side with my beater VC, the datewheel font on the beater is much nicer. I don't know where the first one came from but I know it did not come from Silix. There were a couple of screws that were backed out, the drama of drop shipping, but I gently screwed them back in and made sure all the rest were nice and snug. I'll send them both to The Zigmeister for servicing and switch the datewheel. Now if they could only fix "geneve" on the dial.... As for pics I don't have a camera but a very good friend does professional pics as a side gig so I am planning on having some nice pics taken of my collection and they will be published for all in my RWG family.
  14. She lives in the southern U.S. now which if you think about it is like a whole other country.
  15. Bernard Watch is good, I used to go to them when I lived in Austin, TX.
  16. I'd go with the PO, check jomashop.com as I am not familiar with the others you listed.
  17. No wonder he wasn't answering when I was talking..
  18. Thanks sql. Um...put the old avatar back!!!
  19. PO on the SS!
  20. Can any of you experts please tell me what AR is required for the following reps? Double, Single or None. PP Nautilus (Jumbo) IWC Ingy AP RO (Jumbo)
  21. Well I am by no means the Rolex expert like Stephane, but I think AK I is the better of the two. The dial seems "sharper".
  22. This one from the same seller is even better. The serial number matches what we all have on our UPO's http://cgi.ebay.com.au/OMEGA-SEAMASTER-PRO...1QQcmdZViewItem
  23. There is an excellent tutorial with pics on RWI. I knew I had seen it somewhere but couldn't remember where. http://replica-watch.info/phpBB3/viewtopic...f=6&t=25354
