Nice watch but the strap sucks. Anyone have any good recommendations while it is away being serviced? A nice leather with double stitch would be nice....
Bob Ofrei may finally have parts in stock, some folks waited 3+ months, I got the first batch last week after a 4 week wait and the bezel and insert will finally arrive next week.
I'm doing the same project to the same watch. The only difference is I am also replacing the HE valve crown and tube and the bracelet. Did you use Ofrei?
I will as soon as I get a new camera. My son took mines to school without telling me, leaves it on a desk somewhere and let's just say it was NOT turned into lost and found. Looking at a high level megapixel, 10+ anyone have any recommendations?
Well let's see, I wear a watch (obviously), a bracelet on my right wrist and the handcuffs aka the wedding ring aka the ball and chain.
Edit: Oh and when we go out somewhere nice, I wear diamond hoop earrings in each ear. I personally started the two earring thing in Ft. Lauderdale 20 years ago during a dare with my then brand new and still current wife. Back then you only wore one earring and depending on which ear denoted your "orientation".
Yeah at our age things start to come into "focus"... A sweet Rolex collection, thanks for sharing it with us. So the answer to the age old question of "who has the best sub?" Stephane!
My current daily beater is a VC Overseas that does not have AR and I managed to strip all the screws. I have since ordered the newest VC with double AR.
I think Klink did, I'm planning on sending mines to The Zigmeister next year for a full servicing and remove the seconds hand. The Zigmeister recommended "cutting" the hands off which would leave the middle of it but you wouldn't be able to see it moving.
I have a buddy looking at the following watch on craigslist. The owner wants $3,500, says he paid $5,100 in 2001. Wanted to get an opinion from the experts. This is the best pic, there is another pic that shows the serial no. also. I told my buddy to have it checked by an AD first.
