Excellent points jeff. I think I will engage The Zigmeister to remove the seconds hand for me. I just think a watch like that looks "cleaner", less clutter if you will with just the hour and minute hands.

This may have been asked before..... I know the MBW Jumbo is a "fantasy" watch based on at least 3 different watches. But wouldn't it be prudent to have the seconds hand removed to make it closer to the 3700? I have one on the way, bought from an excellent member who I'm sure parted with it reluctantly, and have read nothing but good things about the MBW version.

That is correct. It is slang for the "50" in "1950". My teenage children have also informed me that the rapper 50 Cent is also referred to as fiddy. So I have my fiddy and they have their fiddy.

I'm looking to do the same exact mods to a UPO. I can get a gen in my area for 3000 - 3200. My current train of thought is to mod the UPO and spend the rest on having The Zigmeister put my gen panerai movement (I got the last one from Michael) in an ultimate fiddy.

Thanks Zig and watcher. When is all said and done, I'll be about 1k deep on this project. While that is a lot for any watch, gen or rep, I would cry a lot harder and longer over losing or breaking a 4k watch than a 1k watch. I'll get some pics done around the first of next year when it should all be done.

Is it possible to get a UPO with a serial no. OTHER than 816880298? I'm a stickler for things like that.... My fiddy does not have E0117 on it.

Trying to locate the gen hands (all 3) on Ofrei for a 45.5 mm Planet Ocean in orange. I've already located the gen dial, bezel and crystal. The parts will cost more than the watch from Josh, but hey the alternative is to buy a gen and where is the fun in that? Plus the wife can "detect" if I enter a upscale jewelry store and diamonds are her friend!
