  1. the PAM 111 is gorgeous .. If you need seconds, and date .. the PAM089 is a gorgeous watch too ..
  2. the strap has gotten lots of attention when i wear mine.
  3. This is the third strap I completed recently. (100% handmade) Made from distressed brown leather, its surprisingly comfortable, very soft. the feel is very vintage, and I love the way the look turned out. 24/24 With a pre-v buckle (which is not correct for this watch, but thats what i had lying around in 24mm) single floating keeper.
  4. Some pictures from the 2nd time around making a strap, this time i took some pictures along the way. I decided to do an open stitch that wraps around the top edges this time, just because last time i had done a closed stitch. -- The leather I got off of ebay and it turned out quite nice i think. - I'd like to get some blue leather next. this strap looks alot better than the last IMO, specially since i managed to get the 3 holes for the tang lined up. Enjoy ..
  5. There are services where you could host this sort of application for free, given the low traffic that it will generate Google app engine is one of them
  6. You need to adjust your expectations.. it's not like buying a watch from Amazon... wait 5 days adhere qc before tracking.. our better yet don't track until 10 days have passed. If he sent you qc images that means that he had the watch at it will be leaving China in a day or two. Remember you are doing an illegal transaction, so patience is the best thing to have Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF700T using Tapatalk HD
  7. Lobster - I should have taken pictures along the way, will do it with the next one.
  8. I decided to make my own straps, and this is the first one i've finished. 24/24 with pre-v buckle that i got off e-bay. - Strap made from a belt i bought off the good-will The watch is a PAM 111N from the H-Factory. I just received some leather and i'm going to try to make the strap from scratch this time.
  9. unless the person is evaluating your watch closely -- and is looking at whether the CG is acurate, they wont be able to tell.. [edited out comment that ran afoul of the forums rules] my point is that people can't tell the differences in the crown guards unless they are looking for those differences and you hand them the watch .. on your wrist it looks just fine.
  10. nice - i'd love to see more pictures of the 089G ..
  11. its a good place to start even if it doesn;'t cover the latest reps
  12. nice review -- i haven't worn any other watch since i got this one in the mail
  13. Get permission to use the uber panerai review list from rwi
  14. I love learning how to make things, so i decided to learn how to make my own watch straps, here are the results of my first attempt. -- made from an old leather belt bought at the goodwill. Its a 24/24 strap, 120/75 (I hope it fits) The finishing touches are still in the mail (the buckle)
  15. Maybe we can build this together... i want to learn how to code on Google app engine.. we can get this up on there quick Program it in java which I already know Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF700T using Tapatalk HD
  16. thats about the right ammount of engagement -- build it and maybe they will come?
  17. would be cool if the database also had links to reviews of the watch (gen and rep reviews) - if you included a breakdown of the different rep versions you could also have a classification of the grade of replica that it is (ie: low grade, high grade, super rep) -- so if someone just wants to see super-reps they can use the tool to narrow it down
  18. i was reading in the other 89 thread that the dial actually changed in the gen between series .. interesting to notice though that the cyclops is slightly off in the gen also.
  19. so glad i picked this one up -- its my favorite at the moment
  20. That's exactly why I wear my watches on my right wrist.. my dad did that and I wanted to be just like him. I did consider buying a left handed Pam.. Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF700T using Tapatalk HD

  22. i am really liking the 82 from DSN .. its on my hit list now .. hows shipping to the US for DSN? .. nice build!
  23. Btw - does anyone know how close a 7750 movement sounds to a gen PAM 89 .. (i am too lazy to lookup the movement name for the 89) ... its unlikely that anyone who sees me with this watch would know what its supposed to sound like .. but just curious .. havent been able to take this watch off my wrist since i got it .. and the sounds the 7750 makes has grown on me -- while typing at work it will once in a while get the right momentum and wobble -- kind of a cool reminder that its there.
